Taking a shower with a shower hose

Lately, our shower has been acting up, the water spraying from the hose where it's connected to the shower head. As a result, the floor and the entire wall next to the bathtub kept getting wet. Then a few days ago the shower head actually broke off from the hose as hubby was taking a shower. Until we get a new shower, we gotta shower with the hose. Hubby's done that already but I haven't yet. I gotta take a shower now. It will be my first time showering with a shower hose without the shower head attached. That will be a new experience for me. Hope the water won't blast full force.

lol. I mean, sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. You can't go around stinking for crying out loud.

I was gonna wait till tomorrow to shower. Hubby's off and we can actually go to the store and pick out a new shower. However, seeing as I showered Wednesday (the thing broke Thursday) it is a good idea to wash, especially if we are gonna go out to dinner.

I don't want water blasting in my private area.

@lovebuglena Aim it somewhere else first till you work out how hard it's blasting.

It's tricky showering with the hose, especially trying to wash your hair.

I did not even attempt to wash my hair. That would have been difficult and exhausting.

Why doesn't hubby just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a new shower head? You can get the hose and shower head assembly for $20-$25 for a basic model.

@lovebuglena It's possible that a valve in the piping is leaking, not the pipes themselves. Most shower leaks behind the wall happen at the joint where the faucet/handle is on the shower.

@moffittjc He replaced the thing that comes out of the wall and a smaller thingy that I am assuming is attached to it and the actual pipe inside the wall.

We got a new shower but hubby did not install it because of a leak. See my response to Jeff above. I think until the leaking issue gets resolved cannot shower there. Not sure how I can wash my hair. We do have another bathroom with a shower but if I wash hair there I will clog the drain/pipe as it's a shower not a bathtub and no way to prevent the hair from going down the drain.

You remind me with my childhood. I used to have shower with a hose since we didn't have shower. It's fun. I hope you can enjoy having shower with hose

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Still, I prefer having a shower head attached.
