Unexpected Complication

Working on Vendetta yesterday, I wondered about something and looked up the book on the drives, and found I have two copies of Vendetta. The original before I started reworking it, and the reworked version. I've never had that happen before with a manuscript.
The good thing about having two manuscripts is I can look at the original to see what I wrote originally before I started taking it apart and putting those parts on another program. The bad thing about having two is making certain I know which manuscript I'm working on. I think I need to rename the original. That will stop all confusion.
Thanks for letting me work through the problem. When I get back to my computer, that's what I'll do. Have you encountered unexpected complications? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

@crazyhorseladycx I know what you mean. I have one manuscript I completely renamed. I couldn't tell you right now the name of it, but I can tell you it has the right name.

That could certainly get confusing. Guess naming them would be a good idea

Yes, it can be confusing. I renamed the original.

Last year, my team and I worked on a complete re-write of our lifeguard policy manual at work. I didn't realize it, but I had two electronic versions saved, and my team was making edits in one version, and I was making edits in another version. It took me a while to figure it out, and then it was frustrating having to go back and merge details from both documents together into one document.

I'm on a program with my church and I was sure I'd already read today's reading but after looking couldn't find out where. I may hunt some more.
It's easy to get confused with manuscripts. We've run into that with my husband's too.

@just4him I didn't lose the program but felt it was a duplicate but then couldn't find why I felt that way unless I read it out of turn or something.

@MarshaMusselman That could be. When you read something out of sequence, things get confusing.
