Aldi was Colder than Winter

Yes, it was. I hate it grocery shopping in summer in Aldi as the whole shop is like a freezer to me.
I brought my black cardigan in the car this afternoon as we were planning to buy our weekly food in Aldi. Before we went inside, I rub disinfection liquid in the handle of the shopping cart before I gave it to my hubby.
When we were inside, I realized that I forgot to wear my cardigan and it was still in our car. I was in a hurry in putting food in the cart. I told hubby to be in a hurry but he couldn´t do that anymore.
It was freezing cold inside the shop that I gave up because I was already trembling and having stomachache because of the cold temperature. He gave me the car key and I was waiting for him outside under the heat of the sun. He had to finish the grocery shopping on his own. I didn´t care if there was something missing in our shopping list.
Hey, it was only 25 °C but the inside of the shop was like -5 °C. I hate it shopping like that. Aldi has not earned a lot from me today.
Are the shops in your country colder than the temperature outside?
The photo was our easy dinner this evening. Fried potatoes, fried eggs, sausage, tomatoes and mozzarella
Thank you for reading. Have a nice Thursday or Friday to you fellow mylotters.

I usually don't have a problem with Aldi, but there is one store close to me where I need my hoodie to shop there in summer. It's like walking into the Arctic. The last time I went there, I remembered my hoodie. I was glad I did.

I'm loving delivery too and just might continue even after Covid . I've saved time and money by not being in the store

I am wondering if there were many customers complaining about the soo cold temperature inside Aldi. I have been to other grocery shops but they were okay. I don´t like to order food online as supermarkets are only 5 minutes away from us. Thanks @DianneN. Have a nice Fridate

Quite an episode in your European life! Now I'll picture you in my mind as the 'lady who came out of the cold.'
Seriously, glad you came out of the freezer before you turned into a popsicle. Nothing important that meant risking your physical being for.
Good narrative. The drama was all there, as if I was watching you in a movie.

@thelme55 That is true - we must prioritize our physical well being because if we are ill, we wouldn't be of help to others at all.
Keep warm always, because others look up to you. Send the popsicles to your loved ones, the depressive state of the pandemia needs cheering.
Thanks for the Friday blessing, I did have fine Friday.
Keep filling your world with love.

I dont remember our Aldi being that cold last time I was there. I would have run out of the store too. I can't deal with freezing cold if I dont have a sweater.

I am glad that I am not alone with this problem. I said to myself not to shop in Aldi again this summer. I will go to another supermarket nearby which is not so cold than Aldi. Thank you @Marilynda1225

Not the stores themselves but sometimes the freezer cases are quite chilly. If you stand there with the door open too long you will get a chilll!

That would be okay if only the freezer cases are chilly but it is the whole supermarket which is freezing cold. Thanks @snowy22315 and have a nice weekend.

These days, most shops are keeping the temperature just a little cooler than the outside. It is said that the virus spreads slower in a warmer temperature

It would be nice if it would be only a little cooler than outside but it is not the case here. The shops are making their shops too cold to keep their food not easily rotten. Thanks @jrlcentral (. Have a Friday to you there.

I have noticed that some stores can be really cold during summer. I don't know why? It Seems they overcompensate for the warmer weather. They must have some electric bill?

They must have a high electric bill. I hope they will notice that so then, they will keep the a/c low. Thanks @dgobucks226

@thelme55 i do recall our last conversation about this, it is very cold. We don't have that issue with our local store. but, i am sure there are many in the US that do.
