Good morning from this side of planet. It's 9:15 AM and I am all set with morning chores and ready to work. I have logged in and the class will start in another 15 minutes. Till then I can be here. The weather is gorgeous after a full night of rain and drizzle. Sun is out and playing hide and seek. I would like it to be a little more bright and hot. I have put one load of laundry to dry and a bright sun for few hours will help it dry fast and be fresh and crisp We had breakfast on our terrace today. And loved the breeze and some sun falling on us from the cloudsIt was an yummy paddu/ paniyaram( steamed balls of rice and urad pulse batter with finely chopped veggies in it.)with a home made spicy schezwan sauce and mint coconut chutney. And you can see that yummy breakfast in picture here We had ginger tea. And today we had it in tea glass instead of our cup. You can see that tea glass in the picture. In India, people had their chai( tea) in earthern pots and such chai glasses before the global influence came to our dining space. Still now that's what people use in rural areas and roadside tea stalls. Hope you all have a good day. Happy mylotting! I am hoping for rocking energetic and productive Monday for all

In Spain people drink coffee with milk (café con leche) in transparent glasses. You always have interesting breakfasts.

@arunima25 I love to cook too and I collected cooking books from many countries around the world. Turkish coffee is interesting, very good but strong.

@LadyDuck Wow! I have one friend like that. She has one side shelf in her kitchen which is like a mini library with all her recipe books I either learn it in person from friends and relatives or from YouTube videos. I have subscribed to a few of them.

That's interesting to know. Indians mostly have their coffee with milk only. Very few go for black coffee. In South India coffee is more popular and they have small steel tumblers and a deep steel saucer for coffee. I try to bring cuisine from all states of India and also from other parts of world to my kitchen. I love to cook.

Happy Monday and it sounds like your day is off to a good start. I like chai tea from Starbucks. Is it the same thing?

My Monday was good. I am in bed calling it day. Some mylotting before I hit the pillow. Chai is hindi term for tea. I have not tried chai tea from Starbucks. So not sure but name suggests that it might be same.

There has been a lot of 'global influence' as you so aptly call it in all sorts of areas.

We had British rule for centuries and that brought a lot of Western influences. Also India has a long history of numerous invasion..Mughals, Persian etc..and that is the reason we have such diverse form of life here.

Hanging clothes on clothesline is very common here. Since we get good sun in most part of countries, dryers are not so popular and many don't use it. We have option to select percentage of drying in our machine and on rainy days we can go for extra dry. On other day we can save power. Have a good night sleep. See you tomorrow.
