Just wanted to share this good news with you all

Just got the call and set up the interview for Monday morning. That is a good step in the right direction. Maybe I will be working again come October. That would be nice, that will be the end of my 7 month vacation or preretirement. It has not been a lot of fun but I guess that is just life, it can throw some really odd things your way and you just get to deal with it. Hope you all are having a good day.

Thank you, yeah that is my hope too. Get me back into "normal" as much as possible and get on with the rest of my life. I hate being in this holding pattern waiting to see what is going to happen next.

Thank you. I'm sure it will be fine. Not the exact job I was looking for but the pay is decent and the hours are good. It's early morning and leaves time in the afternoon to keep looking and interview when something comes along.

I really hope you get the job. It does sound like they are interested in you...so I really hope you get it. Roomies brother has been unemployed for months...and told roomie, he wants a good job not some rinky dink thing. I can understand that, but when your last work experience was months ago, you aren't exaclty looking like a go getter. I think he should take what he can get for now.

That was exactly what I thought. I got to get something so it at least looks like I got off my butt and did something. Not to mention I think I am driving myself insane sitting around for this long.
