Hubby still sitting in the driveway as usual

Hubby finishes work at 5 pm today. This means that he should be home around 6 pm if he is not held up at work. It is after 8 pm and he is still not home. I checked out the window and his car is in the driveway. Plenty of time passed since I checked and I am sure he's been there before I checked for a while already. Argh! I hate when he does that. I wanted to call him or even go to his car and ask him when he will finally come into the house but I am upset so if I do that it will get ugly. So, I sit and wait... until he finally decides to come in.

@lovebuglena That is sad that he still does that and is not taking your feelings into consideration.

I am not happy about that, especially when he comes home from work and sits in the car for a while before he comes in.

@Hannihar It's rather sad. Makes me feel like maybe he doesn't wanna come inside.

@lovebuglena I can understand how hard it is for you because he has to sit in the car before he comes inside and will not talk to you about it.

Oh, my! I would do one of 2 things. Eat without him for spite or march right out to that car and see what is going on.

@lovebuglena I'm glad he walked in. You really should discuss what you saw and how you waited for him. Have a good night. I will be getting ready for the debate.

He just walked in. Asked me if I registered to vote and that I should.

What does he do sitting in the car? Does he use his smartphone to check the social media?

@lovebuglena He could at least come inside to go on FB, it's rude to keep you waiting for him.

@LadyDuck Nothing wrong with being in the car for say 5 minutes or so before going in. But being there for a long time is kinda rude. Kinda makes me feel like he doesn't wanna come home. If I don't look out the window to see if his car is in the driveway I will think he is still at work but he can already be here, just sitting in his car.

He goes on FB on his phone. He can listen to sports radio or listen to the baseball game on the radio. He vapes. Even does some weed.

He should at least tell you he's home so that you know he is safe and that nothing happened to him on the way home.

@lovebuglena Do you talk to him about it and let him know that it upsets you?

He doesn't do that. Usually I look out the window to see if he is already here or not. And if I don't see the car, shortly after I will check again. But sometimes I don't do that. But if I check and see that his car is here and a long time passes and he is still in the car I get upset.

I guess the question is what is he doing out there? I'd be annoyed if my wife did this as well.

Being on FB on his phone, listening to sports radio or baseball, vaping, weed. Maybe he calls someone to chat.

Lately, every day after pulling into the driveway after coming home from work he sits in his car for a while before he comes inside. And sitting in the car in general he does every day usually and for a long time. And he can do that more than once in a day if it happens to be his day off. And it doesn't matter what time of day or night it is. Yesterday he left before 11 to sit in his car and came home past midnight.

Nothing should be more important than coming into the house to your wife after getting home. No Facebook or debate or anything else. No reason to sit in the car for who knows how long and without even a word that he is already here.

Yesterday, he was in the car for at least 40 minutes before he finally walked into the house. When I heard him come in I asked him from the kitchen what the heck he was doing in the car so long and he didn't reply. Maybe he didn't hear me. But I think he just ignored my question. And while he was in the car for a while already I called him to ask him when he is coming in, telling him the potatoes are burning already (I was frying potatoes). He told me "soon" or something like that but it wasn't soon.

I wanted to but knew that if I did that I would snap and it would get ugly. I wanted to avoid that. He was in the car for way more than half hour. After dinner he went to sit in his car again. He left before 11 and came back past midnight. I managed to watch two episodes of Chicago PD on DVR and was on my third episode when he came in.

You sound very bitter in your posts about your husband. Almost as if there are problems between the two of you. Id be out there in the driveway telling my other half to get his behind inside. But he doesn't do stuff like that.

I hope I don't sound bitter all the time. But when he goes to sit in his car for a long time, or when he gets home and instead of coming inside sits in his car that's hurtful. Or when he is held up at work for a while and doesn't even tell me that. Or like today, it is his day off but he went in and didn't even tell me he was planning on doing that. I found out this morning and only because I was awake when he was getting ready to go to work and asked him why he was up early.

I wanted to go outside and tell him to come in already but I was upset and I knew if I went I would snap and start yelling at him. I didn't wanna do that, so didn't go outside. I could've called him but I felt same thing would happen.

To some degree yes. Shortly after we had dinner he went back to sit in his car. And he was there for a long time. I was able to watch two episodes of Chicago PD on DVR and started on my third episode when he came inside.

He is at home. Just parked in the driveway, staying in the car for a long time. He does this all the time these days after coming home from work. I wish I knew when he actually pulled into the driveway.
