October 2 - What I'm Thankful For

Yesterday was an interesting day. I had numerous phone calls from a nurse who is helping with my recovery. One thing that went sideways was a doctor's appointment I had yesterday. I didn't realize it until I was talking to her that it was Friday. I was on Thursday for most of the day. I had an appointment that I missed because transportation was an issue, and then it wasn't. So the appointment ended up being canceled. So, with all that, what was I thankful for? I was thankful my sister arrived in the afternoon. We had a good day together. She helped me with my shower since my right leg is still hard to lift. I think it's getting better. I'm lifting it a little bit now. I'm thankful I was here for the time I was before my sister arrived and the phone calls started. Okay, that was my day yesterday. My sister will be here until tomorrow. Thanks for reading. Your sister is a God sent, I'm glad that she's available to help you. After a few days, your knee will be easier to lift and the swelling will be gone.

@just4him I think they recommend ice packs, to reduce the swelling.

I was thankful that my cake survived the transport to the 4th floor without an elevator. I am thankful that my friends and relatives love the cakes, etc that I baked.

I'm hoping to have it rescheduled tomorrow. I have details to work out. Transportation right now is a big issue. I'm going to try to get that worked out tomorrow too. My sister needs to go home today. Yes, it's been good to have her here lending a hand. Thank you. It's at the Botanical Gardens.

Enjoy your time with your sister while she is there. It is easy sometimes to seemingly lose a day when routine has been interupted such as missing something you normally do on a certain day

Sorry you missed the appointment. Mike and I struggle at times with what day is it. It is hard with him being gone 5 nights a week, just as it was when I went 7 nights a week to be with his mom. Glad your sister is with you now.
