Well tomorrow is the first day of the new job. I have to say I am excited about getting back to work, but it is a worrisome starting a new job and since I have not worked in 7 months it is an odd feeling. I did get all my stuff ready to go in the morning. I laid out clothes, made a lunch and I think I am ready. I have not done this kind of getting ready for a job in a long time. I’m sure it will go fine it just seems weird after all this time off. I have never been out of work for this long in my life. I think the longest time I was out of work before was like two maybe three weeks but certainly less than a month. I’m just now relaxing and going to chill out for the rest of the evening and get to bed early, or at least I hope I will get to bed early. I even set my alarm for 9 pm to remind me I need to get to bed.

You will do just fine. It's like riding a bike. Once you know how, as soon as you hop on and grab the handlebars you just know exactly what to do.

@Bensen32 I hear ya. But trust me. You will do just fine, and before you know it you will be right back into the swing of it... And then longing to be off again. lol

@DianneN Home Depot - setting displays and merchandise. Nice Mon-Fri 5am-1:30 shift. Still leaving me time to interview when something comes along.

Congrats on the new job! I didn' know you had gotten it! Roomie's brother has an interview at Carmax on Monday. I really hope he gets this!

Yes, I did get it I found out on I think it was on Monday I found out and pass the background on Wednesday I think. Hope your roommate gets the job. Will be nice seeing more people getting back to work.

Yeah, the company I was working for ended up laying us off and then decided to close the business. So we all lost our jobs and then trying to find something has not went well until I at least found this for now.

You will be issued some orange shirts to wear to work, so it will make dressing for work easy each day. Also, your first week on the job you will spend a lot of time watching videos on the computer as part of your training and orientation.

Yes, it does. The hours are not bad and waking up is not an issue but the being on my feet all day is not fun.
