October 18 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Well, it's not for the great game the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played against Green Bay. We had a good first quarter. After that, it was all the Buccaneers. The Pack drops to 4-1. There's always next week. However, I am thankful that wearing one shoe has helped my back pain. I still used the heating pad, but the pain is minimal compared to what it was, and no back spasms. I'm thankful for the exercise I got during the game and the fact I could use my right leg in the exercise. I've tried it before but it was difficult. Today was good. My right knee is really doing well. I'm thankful for the nap I got while icing my knee. I got almost no sleep last night due to being up every few minutes it seemed for the bathroom. I'm hoping for a good night's sleep tonight. I'm thankful I got the notifications done before church this morning. I have twice as many right now, so we'll see how many I get to now, though my bed seems like a very good idea. I'm going to let my supper settle first. I'm thankful for heat. I don't know if it is me or this place is ultracold. I turned up the heat. I'm finally warming up. I'm thankful for the food in my pantry, fridge, and freezer. I'm especially thankful for the online service this morning. It's not the same as being there in person, but when you can't go in person, online is the next best thing. The pastor's sermon was very good. Okay, that's my day. I think I'm going to impress my therapist again tomorrow. What are you thankful for today? And before I forget again, there's something I forgot yesterday. I'm thankful for the phone call I made to my granddaughter for her birthday. She said she's thinking about coming up here for Thanksgiving. I don't think that's going to be possible, but it would be nice if it happens. I would love to see her and my great-granddaughters again. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

They have a good team. We couldn't get through their stone walls on offense and defense. They stopped us cold and intercepted two in a row from Rodgers. It would be nice if they could come up. They're in Texas.

@Courtlynn It sounds like you're making a trip to my stomping grounds. I hope you can come. Yes, he should have. I'm sure they're working hard on what went wrong and they'll be ready for the next game on Sunday against the Texans.

I'm thankful that we're still able to eat vegetables and able to buy some groceries during lockdown. Number of new cases getting higher day by day

Buying food is essential, so I'm not surprised you can buy food even with the numbers going higher.

@just4him I just hope that the cases won't reach 1000 new cases though, for if that's so, we might have a total lockdown and the long wire mesh will installed and nobody allows to go out

I had knee replacement surgery. I have another surgery for the other knee in two weeks. The result of the first surgery is a misaligned back. As soon as I have the other surgery done and can get an appointment, I'll get my back realigned again.

I am thankful that you are getting better and better each day! Thank you for the exercise! And of course, I am thankful to God for the gift of technology. Without technology, will not have online service. No mass gathering here. Only the senior pastor, Praise and Worship team, multimedia team, Movers (Dancers) can be in the church for the live service and tapings.

Yes, we need technology in this day and time. I'd be lost without it too. We're able to attend church now, which is good. We also have an online service for those who can't attend. The only thing I wish was that it included the praise and worship portion of the service. Thank you.

Sunday I did go to church. I brought some apple cider K cups (I bought from Walmart on Saturday) to church for my Sunday school class. Some people liked them. And I got to try a new kind which I think I like. Sunday afternoon I worked some more on latch hook rug. Yesterday though I wasn't thankful for an error on a website. I couldn't login to that site. I wrote the website and they fixed it!! So I'm thankful it is fixed now.

@just4him You are very welcome. I was planning to this year with my Thai friend therapist but then the virus came and we didn´t do it. It is very dangerous for me to do that work anymore. Yes, it is good that my time is only for me and my hubby.

what? yer boys lost? must'a been a fluke ;) glad to read that one shoe thingy 'tis helpin'. prolly gonna take a while to get'cher back straightened out, but hopefully e'ery day'll show 'mprovement, jest's with yer knee. what a gift if'n she could come'n bring those babes. i dunno how safe such'd be though :( such's sure keepin' me from mine 'n they 'nly live 100 miles 'way. hmm, thankful'n sunday. tried a new recipe with some pork chops'n the hubs 'ctually liked 'em. thankful my momma sounded better'n the phone. thankful i 'twas able to go out with the ponies, though doin' such required several layers. mr. rocky convinced 'twas not wise to get too close, he's not fergivin' me fer shockin' him the other day (static). the others most eager fer the 'ttention. lovely photo!

Yes, they lost. We didn't stand a chance against them. Yes, I'm glad it's working too. I'm sure it will. I'll get it realigned as soon as I can make an appointment with my chiropractor. He'll get it fixed in no time. It would be wonderful and if my daughter came with her, just maybe I could get the four-generation picture I wanted before she left for Texas. Lot's of ifs and with the virus the way it is, I don't see it happening either. I'm glad the new recipe worked out and he liked it too. That's great your momma sounded good on the phone. I'm glad you got out to the ponies, even if you were layered up and Mr. Rocky was leery of you.
