Happy Monday to all my myLot friends! I didn’t walk this morning, but will this afternoon. Why? Because I am in one of my frightened out of my mind modes. Hubs and I have appointments to get our flu shots this morning. We are getting them at our pharmacy, and I worry about all the sick people who enter. Our doctor suggested to wait until now to get the flu shot, so it doesn’t wear off too soon. We will take precautions. The second we get home, our clothes will enter the washing machine and we will shower. Have you had your flu shot, yet?

My poor hubs is in the garage with the door opened doing I have no idea, and a man just got out of his friggin truck without a mask to take away a dumpster the deck guys used right in front of hubs!

@DianneN I know you do! Most of the time I am preaching to the choir as most others don't seem to care.

@kanuck1 You can save for preaching for the "others" who don't care a hoot! We just had a non-mask wearer arrive to remove a dumpster in our driveway. I saw from the window, but was afraid to open the window to yell at him for fear of his germs blowing in.

@kareng I never have a problem with flu shots. I did have a problem with that new shingles shot. The first killed so much, that I refused to get the second.

These days situation is always like this when we have to face the doctor. Is this flu shot kind of precaution ? If yes, here we don't used to of it.

It protects against the flu, which we get every year. Since getting them, we haven't had the flu since 1987. So happy we are home now.

It's important for your parents to get it, but you and your family would be wise to get it, too, if your doctor thinks it's appropriate.

@DianneN Here flu shot is given to the risk group, to seniors, and to those with chronic diseases but I think this year they are saying that anyone can take it.

I had it last year at work. There was no nurse that time when I got it from the clinic. Good thing, I have an RN workmate. And yes better be safe than going mixing with people outside.

@DianneN they offered it to us at work in May or June. But we have to pick it up. That time the COVID cases has just started spreading. So I did not take advantage.

I'm waiting for the vaccine, too, once it's proven to be safe and effective. Getting the flu shots were fine. I'm more worried about all the idiots that came in and out of the store like it was going out of business.

@DianneN When I first talked to my doctor before we went into lockdown he told me they were giving them to others first and then the country went into lockdown so not sure if still in lockdown or not. I will be talking to my doctor next week to see what we do about the flu shot. I usually get mine but because of the virus I really not sure I want to get one. So this is where it stands on the flu shot.
