I had planned to cook a dish tomorrow, called cabbage patch stew. It calls for canned kidney beans and pinto beans, well I just couldn't believe that Walmart didn't have any canned beans. I needed a can, of great northern beans and they didn't have any at all. This really makes one think, now this is scary.

You have a good point, but when you can't find beans, that is really scary.

Wow! We have lots of beans at my Walmart we haven’t been low on food stuff there for a few months now. Still have a bit of shortage on toilet paper. Guess people still think they are going to be pooping themselves a lot.

That is pretty surprising. Alot of the stores don't seem to be that well stocked these days. I noticed Saturday Aldi was not, and also Trader Joe's was not...I mean they had a lot of things but not what I went for, pumpkin stuff. I only got some October Lager..and one small pumpkin.

Wow that is freaky. I use canned beans two three times a week. Last time I shopped at Safeway I noticed a hit or miss thing going on with their shelves. No raw zucchini! No breaded fish! I went to Winco and found that grocery store well stocked.

I am going back to dollar tree tomorrow, and get some. Had I known Walmart didn't have any I would have bought them there.

We seem to have shifts in supplies at times. Beans are a super cheap and healthy protein. Dried beans stored properly keep for years and are easy to fix. I have noticed shortages lately of a lot of items off and on. TP and paper products are still a hit and miss. Sometimes signs are still up that say there is a limit of 1 or 2. Clorox type of wipes, or the generic forms, are often all gone. I've even noticed sometimes I can't get the bread I prefer to buy. Or the only types of flour on the shelves are 20# bags. If the virus gets worse than it is now, and it appears it will, there will be more shortages. I shop sales and try to stay a bit ahead so that I don't have to go to the store as often. Works for me.
