October 23 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Sometimes things happen to remind us of what is important. This morning things happened and my Bible study was right on target with what was important. Reminding me that Jesus would not leave me helpless but would always come through for me.
I'm thankful for today. I'm thankful for the car breaking down to show me who to trust and that sometimes I need to look in other places besides the obvious ones.
I'm thankful I got to my therapy appointment on time using a cab.
I'm thankful I got everything done at the hospital I needed to do - therapy, signing the authorization for my hearing aids, and getting my blood drawn.
I'm thankful I remembered one friend who came to my aid so I only spent one cab fare instead of two. She also took my laundry and did it and was my witness for the absentee ballot for the upcoming election.
I'm thankful my sons are working together. That in itself is a praise beyond words. My older son got the car taken care of. He only needs to bleed the brake lines now. He's also taking his brother to work tomorrow night. Today is my younger son's day off. There has been so much animosity between those two in the past. I hope some fences have been mended. Or are on the way to being mended.
I'm thankful for my granddaughter's birthday presents arriving today as planned. He said he would call me to let me know how she likes them.
Today, I planned to make a phone call to a special myLotter, but my phone has been so busy, I had to charge it twice. @crazyhorseladycx, I'll call tomorrow.
Today is a good day. It started out strange and ended great. God is in control and I give Him praise for this day.
Now, it's time I went to bed. I will take care of all notifications that came in since I finished them the first time. Oh, and I also got all my fitness goals done today. I have over 10K steps and all the hourly steps. It doesn't happen often, and more than likely won't when I have the second knee done unless the right one is strong enough then to do those steps.

I am thankful that I got to spend time with my husband this morning and that my son cooked a roast and asparagus for our dinner tonight . I love your family photo.

That is a wonderful photo and great memories, Today I was thankful that the sun was shining and with my bum knee, I could get out in the warm sunshine and walk to the store for some things. I was afraid my knee might go out and start hurting but obviously, it also like the warm weather and behaved itself,

Well I am glad your day ended great....sorry that it started strange though. I know I probably missed out on some cause I haven't been around here much lately. But it's great to see an update and what you are thankful for.

i so 'njoyed yer called this morn, ms. @just4him! brightened my gloomy morn, so'm most grateful fer that. to hear yer laughter warmed my heart :)
those boys'll get't figured one 'f these days, but'm so glad they're workin' together 't the moment. that'd be all we can ask fer, eh? my 2 're like day'n night, prone to clashes so jest stay 'way from each other.
i'm sure yer sweet lil grand'll love what'cha got fer her, hon. i know 't saddens ya not to be there. not e'en 'bout the presents, but the time spent. 've walked those shoes. soon though yer gonna be able to see'n hold her, see the joy'n her adorable lil face 'n feel her laughter spread 'cross yer soul.
yer yesterday, i'd many blessin's. despite high winds 'n frigid temps, i got quite a bit tended. the early eve, winds near calm, i basked'n the sunlight whilst 'nloadin' hay/grain 'n tendin' the ponies. mr. rocky wishin' fer more 'ttention than 'tis his norm 'n i gave such lavishly. (p.s. thus far nobody's come lookin' fer that trash can lid, lol)
grateful fer the strength 'n stamina to get 'er done whilst 'njoyin' the closeness 'f nature.

@just4him aw, yer welcome :) so glad such warmed yers's well. thus far nobody's come lookin'. fits nothin' here. whome'er such belonged to prolly figures 't to be'n 'nother county, lol. mr. rocky 'tis usually standoffish, takes a bit fer him to come get scratches. so's when he meets me 't the fence with a soft eye, i jest can't resist.
oh, that's wonderful! hopefully he can get such to ya, put't there'n yer puter. preferably yer laptop, so's ya somethin' sweet to watch come yer next surgery/rehab. i told ya she would :D
i'm runnin' way 'hind here. 'd to go to town to vote, pick some schtuff'p from my sweet momma's. turned 'nto a near 4hr visit, lol. will try to catch'p with ya'n the others come daylight hours.

Thank you so much. I'm glad I warmed your heart. I know you did mine. I hope someone comes looking for that lid. I'm glad Mr. Rocky got extra attention you graciously gave him.
My son recorded the party. I hope I can see it sometime. He said she loved the presents I got her.
I have a lot to be thankful for today and will post that soon.

You're probably right about the person thinking their lid is in the next county. I'm sure Mr. Rocky loved his scratches.
