Utility bills are paid

All my monthly utility bills have been paid for November. I am glad to be getting a school check again. It is once a month, and each of our other checks are also once a month. All at different times. Too bad I do not get a year around check from the schools. Other things I need to do are to investigate different Medicare Plans to see if I can save some money. Right now we are headed to the thrift shop and a doctor's appointment. See you later.

My SS check is one week after hubby, but the school one is about a week before either of those. It helps.

@crazyhorseladycx For us the lockdown has helped. We are at stores much less often. We eat out much less often. Everything we do not spend is a blessing.

Glad your bills are paid - I paid the ones already that were due the beginning of the month & I only have one left that's due at the end of the month. I get paid twice a month i would hate getting a check only once a month.

If I were to change jobs, I would look for one that paid more often.

@Blondie2222 It is a scramble. I usually have to do lots of bits and pieces of things to get by. In the past I had to often work a second job to support working at school.

@GardenGerty Yeah, I don't know how people do it and then don't get paid all summer.

@allen0187 Yes they have. Our water/sewage/trash bill goes to the city who only accepts checks and money orders in a drop box, or cash if you walk in.

Usually ours are modest. Water was HUGE last month but we had a water leak. The bill is $200 less this month.

Bills are my priority each time receiving my salary. Then food. I don't won't to mispay it, thus making the amount becomes larger. Then I have to worry on how to pay it, when I probably don't have enough money at that point.

Bills off the checklist for the month - what a great feeling. Saving as much as we can is certainly a thought in everyone's minds these days. Hope you have some good finds at the thrift shop - and hope all goes well with your appointment!

I have Medicare for my insurance, hubby has Medicare and Veteran benefits. I have money put in an account for additional medical expenses. This is the time of year we can make changes to Medicare.
