"Do you have a good singing voice?"

When I was in high school, I was a member of a choir. I had a great time singing in the church with the other members. I stopped joining them when the leader asked me to sing in front of the church. At that time, I have stage fright. So I just walked away. How do you enhance your golden voice? Do you have the singing ability? Image Credit: i.ytimg.com

I do not either. I learned hard way stay invisible or people make you do things you do not want to do. I yelled cadence the loudest and for some reason my Military teacher thought that meant I wanted to call cadence, hell no, I have no rhythm, unless you let me copy.

I tried my best not to be visible in the eyes of people. But then, I was pushed to be involved in a singing competition at school before. I cannot do anything but need to follow my teachers.

I have a good singing voice and I do not care to enhance my voice. My mother in law was an Opera singer, she had a great voice.

Oh, my. That's a great talent to be a soap opera singer. It is a good thing that you are enhancing it. I will try to do it, too.

I think it just comes out naturally for me. It also runs in the family.

@just4him I agree. She was so passionate and very religious, even until now.

That's what I am going to explore. At present, I can deal with a lot of people for job-related concerns. Not sure about the singing part. I wondered how courageous my granny who used to sing in the church before.

I got it from my late father the singing voice. Perhaps we got the innate talent from my 102-year-old granny.

No I do not have it but I am often dragged into the group singing competition just to make up the numbers and never the lead

When I was in high school, I was forced to a double duet singing competition. Luckily, we were the second placer at that time.

That's a shame you gave up singing. Why don't you join a choir now? You can always say you don't want any solo parts.

Some people tell me yes. Others tell me I sound like I gargled rusty razorblades. You be the judge. That being said, I am comfortable playing my guitar and singing without people looking. As soon as I try to do it in front of people I get all discombobbled.

I can carry a tune. I took up voice lessons at trebel more than 20 years ago. I was a member of the LGU chorale. My voice range is alto. I cannot belt out Streisand songs nor a whitney Houston but I can sing Carpenter songs.

@Shavkat honestly I didn't learn much from the formal voice lessons because most sessions are spent vocalizing. What I did was go to a videoke and sang my heart out lol. Carpenters songs are easy to sing.

When I was in college I was in choir. It was a fun class and an easy A (high grade). All I had to do was show up and be active and then at the end of the semester perform in a concert with the rest of the classmates. Would be great if I had perfect pitch and a high range. There were a few times when I was younger when I sang in front of people on a cruise ship, at a resort, or at karaoke but now I'd be scared to do it.
