Standing to attention

One of the specific requirements of our recent photographic assignment was to take some photos of the stud’s purebred Arabian stallion. They needed to be suitable for use in advertisements.
The owner is hoping to get others to send their mares to her stallion to get in foal. He is very impressive and very obedient. Some stallions can be hard to manage but he was no trouble at all. He has very ‘old’ bloodlines which make him desirable as a sire. We thought the photos of him standing on the bank of the dam were some of the nicest.
By the way, I posted a day or two ago about a jigsaw that had a piece missing. I found it up against the wall so that’s really good. I’ve started on a second one now which should be much easier.

@JudyEv that is fun to learn! we used to live in Indiana and went to the horse farms in Kentucky many times. I actually went to the farm where Secretariat lived. The most beautiful quarter horse I have ever seen.

My great grandfather had a wonderful black stallion, the horse allowed no one to get close to him, only my great grandfather.

@JudyEv I could let kids ride my POA stallion in the pasture with the mares. I have heard of Arabians being the same way. Those are a joy to have when they can keep their minds on something.

oh, he's a fine boy fer certain! hopefully such'll go well fer 'em. 'tis 'lways desirable to 've a mellow stud. lots's to do with how they've been handled 's youngsters, though i've retrained a few o'er the years.

@JudyEv 'tis good that she takes the time fer such. so many folks don't (lots 'f rehabs o'er the years...one still here), think 'tis 'cute'. 'til someone gets hurt, the horse deemed dangerous.

She is very good at handling her horses. All of them were very friendly but also respectful - didn't walk all over you. This was Vince's favourite. It's easy to see why, isn't it? 
She is an anglo-arab and recently did an 80km (50 mile) endurance ride. She is now qualified to tackle a 160km ride.

This stallion is just perfect.. Quite handsome and well behaved. No doubt he is a desired one.
