Kids Are Allowed To Go Out Here: What?!?

In my city, the city's officials are allowing the kids to go out and be in the town proper now. It seems that they are not thinking about this concern. For our little princess in the house, she cannot go out. It's our decision not to. We can still wait for the vaccines to come. I don't know when but it is better to wait than say sorry in the end. Is your place allowing the kids to go out now? Image Credit: i.pinimg.com

Outside is safer than inside. We were never told to stay completely in.

I got it. I think it is fine to stay outside in the vicinity of the house.

Kids can go out here, they must keep social distancing. Kids for the moment are among those who will NOT get the vaccine. The vaccine will be ready for children before the start of the next school year in August.

I am glad that they can have the vaccines before schooling next year. I heard the news today that children are not on the top priority list. The country's president retracted his directive that students will go back to school physically next year.

@LadyDuck I am glad that they can have them. Children are not included in the priority list here.

@Shavkat Children will not be vaccinated before the end of Summer next year, they are not particularly in danger.

In our town, yes. But everyone should wear a mask. But then again, I can see kids older than 2 out and about without masks on.

This is also what I am whining about. Some mothers are wearing their face masks and face shields, but their babies are not. How silly are the city officials and some parents to look over this concern? I think I need to call their attention through their hotline numbers.

I find it weird for them to say this. First thing, the pandemic is not controlled here yet.

I am not sure if the students can go back to school next year. One thing for sure, they are not included in the priority list to have the vaccines.

Although it is disheartening not to allow our kids outside at this time but we have to protect them and us. Since we do not know if she will get infected or she will bring the virus to our house and infect the weakest in the family.

I agree. It's a contradicting move for the officials to allow kids to go out here in the city. I hope they will overturn the city's ordinance.

Here it is not prohibited, but unfortunately the children ignore the appeal from our government here.

Our city mayor convened the seniors and the persons with disability in a school building for the distribution of the city and DSWD package. Ain't that gross! You are wise. Keep the child in the house till the contagion is contained.

That's really not a good idea. Are they thinking? I think it is best to let the child stay at home for now.

Yes, everyone can go out. People get infected in clubs, restaurants or at home, don't think there's been any reports here of anyone being infected outside.

@Shavkat Why the children? They seem to be least infected and not that contagious? (since they don't get as sick) Seniors get sicker, so they should be more careful.

@Torunn They are more vulnerable as claimed here. Adolescents to adults are better in terms of having strong immune systems.

That's a piece of good news. I do think that people can be affected in these places mentioned. Originally, the higher-ups instructed that senior citizens and children to stay at home.

In my country, we can still go out and have fun but we are limited to 8 person per group starting from today.

Young adults and adults can go out here. Of course, they still need to wear their protective gears.

I can't imagine why they'd let kids out. Aren't they supposed to be the most vulnerable?

I can see some kids who are going out with their parents. As long as they have the protective gears, then it is fine. For our kid, she should stay at home until she cannot have the vaccine.

The kids can go out here but you do not see that many out. It is cold out side that might be the reason why.

I guess it is because of the weather. I hope that vaccines will be available to all. In my country, they had released the priority list. It means not all can have them unless we have to pay for the vaccines.
