Being hateful and disrespectful...

There are people (including mass media) who say nasty and hateful things about Trump.
They are being disrespectful to him.
Calling him names he shouldn't be called.
Accusing him of things he never did.
Spreading "fake news" about him.
Spinning things to make him look bad, even when he's done something great; and he's done many great things.
And they think nothing wrong of it.
It's appalling, especially the name calling and the disrespect.
I bet if the same would be done to them they would think differently.
You can disagree with some (or all) of the things he's done but that doesn't mean you have to be hateful and disrespectful, especially to someone who is your president.
If you are against the guy and have nothing to say but nasty and hateful things just move on...

We used to be a nation that showed respect for the President, no matter which political party he was from. It's a shame that we've sunk so low that our POTUS is treated so badly. I hope we can learn to stop being so disrespectful and return to some sort of normal decency.

@lovebuglena Unfortunately the world is full of naysayers, Debbie-Downers, or Karens as they are called these days.

The president of this nation deserves respect, whether you like him or not, whether you agree with everything he is doing or not. It's also very easy to criticize someone and say how bad of a job they are doing, especially when you probably can't even do the job they are doing.

Hello Lena.
This is definitely something I have noticed a lot too lately.
This too shall pass my friend.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend now.
Despite the current climate of adversity, I am enjoying life as best I can.
Don't let it bother you too much. There are others who share your view.

And it's not just about Trump. This shouldn't be done regardless of who the person is.

I am not really into politics but this election and all that went down with it changed that.

I completely agree. In this past year, alone, we've seen what damage the media can do. Which is very disrespectful.

@lovebuglena That's a good question. I know, hate runs deep. I mean, Trump is the first president to run without a political or military background. While neither are required to run for president, I know it's being used as an excuse to spread more hate. Many people already hated him because he was a businessman and reality t.v. star. Hell, in 2016, riots broke out and destroyed a lot of his properties. Now that he's got two or sow weeks in office, humanity seem to want to ensure he can't re-run in 2024.

I am not sure if any other president in US history has been treated like President Trump has been.

@kaylachan And they wanna impeach him or invoke the 25th Amendment on him to get him out of office instead of focusing on running the country and on Biden's plan for the next 4 years, which many have no idea what that is.

It is horrible and it has been for the last 4 years, love him or not, he is the President and deserves better.

@lovebuglena Because it is easier to just blame him for everything.

@BelleStarr True. But one man can't be blamed for everything.

They blame him for what happened in DC. Why don't they blame the security (Capitol police, etc.) for not being prepared for possible acts of violence, for letting extremists break into the building...?

I have never in my life seen such blatant disrespect. Some yes and always but to the degree we have seen over the last 4 years, never. Trump was not and is not part of the inbred DC swamp. By using the term inbred I am not far off with its actual meaning as DC is like Hollywood. Outsiders tend to mess things up and Trump absolutely is the proverbial outsider.
"They" could not afford to let him do his thing because he would ruin life as "they" preferred it. "They" like their cushy positions and intrigues and the money lining "their" pockets no matter who they are or were in bed with. "They" understand it is about personal power and money, that's it. It most certainly is not about the people.
This is the challenge every single politician who is not part of the DC swamp faces when they find themselves winning any post, either side in Washington. Some fold (capitulate) to "them", the ones that don't capitulate do not last long.
Trump is simply a fighter for the people. "They" had to get him out before he tumbled "their" empire.
Now that is "THEIR" excuse
For the common Americans that hate him, they do so because they have fed at the table of DC lies propagated by the media (also part of the DC swamp).
What Trump did and has done has been vitally needed. Now and going forward it will be up to those who see the problems to fix them.

And they are still trying to get him out of office. And they think they can succeed. The first impeachment, which took a long time, didn't work and neither will this one, if they even manage to get it out there. They should be focusing their time on the next 4 years and what they should do for the country and its people instead of wasting their time trying to kick Trump out of his rightful place in the Oval Office, with less than two weeks before Inauguration all because they supposedly believe that he is a threat to this country. He is not a threat! If anything, they are.

@Namelesss Seems all they care about is getting him out of the White House. Whatever happened Jan. 6th and will happen all over the country according to the FBI was not called for by Trump.

@lovebuglena There is so much positive they could be doing. I know they are all up in arms but they need to calm down. Of course that is if they were rational which we know some of them are anything but.
This whole thing needs to be studied before rash decisions are made.

I cannot agree more. Very well said and something that surely NEEDS to be said. The funny thing for me is that for all of the people (even here) who say some VERY nasty things about the president, if you call them out on it they are insulted and call you rude.
Wait. What?
You can call the president of the United States a bumbling buffoon, a morn, a racist, or whatever name you want to put to him but if I use those words against you I am being rude?
What I always try to steer away from here and anywhere else is to stick the facts when I make an argument against what ANY president does or doesn't do. To my mind, when it gets to the name calling it means to me that the person really doesn't have a complaint. They just want to call names and leave without having to explain why they feel the way they do.
And frankly, that's as puerile as it gets.

Now to say that those that support Trump (or whoever else for that matter) are idiots, racist, or any other nasty names I don't want to write here, is insulting and wrong on so many levels. And I am shocked that someone would do such a thing.
Someone did that here and that was not right. I am pro-Trump but that doesn't mean that I am any of those things. You cannot generalize like that. Same goes for any one else that supports him.
I will never use the same tactic on those that support Biden. I am not gonna degrade them because they support him and voted him in, even though I believe he shouldn't be the leader of this country, and didn't fairly get to the top or actually win for that matter.

And it's shocking how it only works one way. They can say nasty things to you and you call them out on it but they see nothing wrong with it. But if you say the same thing back to them, they call you out on it, tell you that you are being rude, disrespectful, etc.

@lovebuglena Ultimately I will judge Biden as I would judge any president, left or right. Solely on the merits of his policies, and where I stand on them. I will be fair, and state my argument for or against whatever it is, as it should be for anyone else to do the same.
I have long said, this place we are nowadays where one disagrees (or agrees) with a president based only or mainly on what letter goes after their name is simply not the way any of us should be.
And when we DO disagree, we should be able to be civil about it.

All politicians are criticized, read international newspapers and you will see that the opposed parties always have words to say against the other parties. It is not correct, but this happens all the time. People should learn to respect the opinions of ALL parties and not only their own.

Seems to me like JB likes to touch females of all ages. I've seen videos where he's done that and the females were clearly very uncomfortable when that happened.

I always tell people who hate someone they despise that karma will get them one day. Hating Trump is like drinking poison and expecting the person you hate to kick the bucket.

You can disagree with someone. You can dislike someone. But you don't have to hate on that person or treat them like crap. And yet many do.

@lovebuglena I remember in the comedy "Sanford and Son" when Lamont became friends with Julio Fuentes who was a Puerto Rican. Fred Sanford who is Black insulted him to the point that his son told his dad "Be nice to Julio since you will need a favor from him one day."

You can disagree with something a person is doing without being hateful. There is no excuse for some of the things that are posted on social media.
