January 26 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Some would think there's nothing to be thankful for, especially when they're battling cold and flu. Well, that's not always the case.
Yes, I have a cold. I know it's a cold because it isn't COVID. None of those symptoms are present. I'm coughing and blowing, that's it. I'm doing my best to stay warm. So, no Y this morning. No swimming or fitness center. And no weight loss. Oh well.
I'm thankful it's only a cold and nothing more. I will beat this. I've had a massive amount of fruit this morning. Lots of Vitamin C. I also had a large mug of orange juice. I plan on having more fruit this afternoon. I'm on the attack.
I'm thankful for the work I got done on Vendetta. It's coming along.
I'm thankful I have the notifications finished for the second time.
Okay, that's my day. Getting rest, watching TV, and yes, achieving my fitness goals on my Fitbit. For the bad news - my phone no longer works. I can turn it on, but it turns right back off. I'm getting a new phone next month. I really don't mind as I don't use it much. However, I am expecting two calls this week. I guess I'll just show up when I'm supposed to without the reminder.

Being sick isn't fun. Good thing you skipped your workouts. Colds aren't bad as long as you're making sure to get plenty of fluids. Which you are, which is a good thing.
What I'm thankful for today. I'm thankful that the weather was warm when I went out, and stayed that way well after I got back. I am thankful that I have good instincts, too. (explain more in a post). I'm thankful for having another day with my lovely cats. They are getting up there in age, and you really see it in one of them.

aw, danged the luck! sendin' ya healin' hugs, hon. i reckon ya dusted off yer fitbit gizmo? i reckon such comes'n handy. glad yer still feelin' 'p to the challenge 'f finishin' that novel :)
'twas a most interestin' day here weather wise. thankful fer layers so's i could get out'n get schtuff tended, though limited i'm closer to my vision. thankful fer the email statin' part 2 'f my washin' machine fiasco 'tis to be here thursday.
fingers crossed once that 'tis put'n place, i'll finally be leak free.
e'en more thankful that the daughter finally called. 've not spoken to her since Christmas. we'd a lovely visit 'n plans to do a video thingy this saturday.

@just4him yer welcome. yepperz, that ibuprofen 'tis some nasty schtuff :( particularly if'n y'ave 'lready gut issues. so glad yer back/hip 're feelin' better this eve.
i'm giddy o'er the part 'n so hope nothin' else goes 'wry related to anythin' 'nside that laundry room, lol. she called 'gain today! most shockin'. 'tis not set a time fer the video thingy though.

@crazyhorseladycx The chiropractor was very happy with the way I'm moving and grooving this morning. Next appointment in two weeks.
I hope nothing else goes wrong too. It would be great to have it done and working right.
You know you went from the pond to the laundry room. I hope you don't have anything else waiting on the horizon to go wrong when this is fixed.

Thank you. I nipped it in the bud. I'm good today, though I still didn't go to the Y this morning. I'm off Ibuprofen. It did a number on me a couple of nights ago making me think I had an ulcer. I know it's a hard painkiller, so I'm laying off it for a while and hope my back starts healing without it. I was hard put for moving this morning. So, no Y. I'm doing well right now, so I expect to be back in the pool tomorrow.
I'm glad your part for the washer will arrive tomorrow. Good news. I'm so happy your daughter called. I hope you can do the video thing on Saturday.

Hopefully, you will be feeling a lot better after a day of two. Colds are not fun, that's for sure.
My phone kept losing charge every day, I needed a new battery. I just left it plugged in. Then, my phone wouldn't receive calls. It was Consumer Cellular, our phone service has issues off and on.

Sorry that you have a cold, those are never fun, glad it is not the other though of course. That's great that you are working on getting the vitamins and stuff needed to get over the cold. Hope you are feeling better some!
