Nothing Much To Talk About

Happy Wednesday Everyone! it's mid-week and another gloomy start to the day. Yesterday wasn't much fun weather wise and by late afternoon we had a power outage. Thankfully it didn't last long as it would have been a very cold night. Aside from the weather not much changes here on a daily basis. Life is more routine than before Covid but I'm trying not to let myself get bored. I have enough things to do around the house that keep me busy along with my crocheting and reading. So far I've read 4 books for January I've been delegating my mornings to cleaning and afternoons for my hobbies. So far it's been working pretty well. Of course can't start the day without my coffee which is ready right now! I'll be coming round to read your posts while I enjoy my cup of joe. Have a good one!

I ordered myself a paint by number which I always enjoy. I am hoping it will turn out well enough to frame. Roomie has been doing a lot of cleaning but mostly his room and his[ bathroom. He could do some clearning in the kitchen, after all he uses that too.

Paint by numbers sounds like a lot of fun. I hear ya when it comes to your roomie needing to help in the kitchen

I had a good day at work today. It was nice and quiet this morning so I was able to keep an eye on my laundry in the dryer and then on my break I folded it all and put it away. I'm baking some chicken quarters for supper right now, I have some frozen squash out thawing and will put that into the oven in a bit. I felt like a nice old fashioned hot meal for supper tonight.

@Marilynda1225 I'd prefer to stay at home to work, even though I am very challenged technically. But I feel so much safer here, and I get chores done that I used to do in a quick hurry. I feel that its a really nice way to segway into the final years of my working years. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, we have a live webinar at 4pm, so you get to see everyone and hear their voices. When we all say good bye at the end of our meeting, I always blow kisses to them, and we all say miss you to each other. Its a sweeter work relationship that we have virtually.

Do you think you would be happy to go back to working in an office or would you prefer to work from home indefinitely? I'm sure being home has lots of advantages but I assume you might miss the interaction with coworkers. Your dinner sounds really good. Were having ham steak, roasted cauliflower and baked sweet potatoes

What neck of the woods in Pennsylvania do you live in? I grew up in a rural part of Indiana County.

I got to work with kids this morning. It was fun. My early 3-year-old buddy is imitating me a lot and his language skills are advancing rapidly. My English is quite good. Right now it's raining again, so I'm just sipping coffee and MyLotting.

Housework keeps me sane these days. It's the only thing I can count on to be consistently normal

I'm finding it working well. This way my morning is delegated to chores and I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want. My goal for this new year was to manage my time better

Thankfully the outage didn't last for long. It was too cold not to have heat

@Marilynda1225 I can understand not having heat in the cold weather. That happened here one winter and it was really cold. I do not remember how long we were without electricity but others suffered more. I am glad that the outage did not last long.
