On the way out yesterday to get errands done, this flock of wild turkeys was beside the road. One minute from our home.
Snapped this photo outside the car window with my iPhone. So cool to see them walking around safely in the woods. They were about 10 yards away from the road.
I never leave home without my camera. You never know what you might see.

@CarolDM We have a turkey shoot not too far from here but it's hidden in the trees. I've seen a turkey or two that got out and was headed down the road.

They don’t look like they’re drinking!
What a cool spotting! I can usually see some when I go to Mammoth Cave.

That's why I love how phones have cameras because I never leave home without it. And my eyes are always open to anything that I could possible take a photo of.
It's nice to see those turkeys.

@Tampa_girl7 It did look like more than one family. And there are others you can't see in the photo that flew away.

At least they are walking around the woods. We had wild turkeys here crossing the road with heavy traffic. That's a dangerous situation, especially when some drivers love to speed.

@CarolDM I saw a few walking around by my house when it was warmer weather. I wonder where they had come from.
