Happy Hour!

I happen to love every moment of the day. Happy hour is fun, too.
Our younger son served the cheeses he received as a birthday gift from us at his girlfriend’s house yesterday. He bought wines to serve with each cheese and filled the cheeseboard with goodies. Her mother and brother joined them.
He offered to make us a cheeseboard with next month’s shipment. I don’t think I can wait a month, so I just made a tiny cheeseboard for hubs and I.
All I have on it are a few green grapes, a hunk of cheddar cheese, a few multigrain crackers, a tiny dish of walnuts and a tinier bowl of shelled pistachio nuts, and apple slices that are already turning brown because I can’t be bothered coating them with lemon juice. Hubs made me a martini and he is slugging down some bottled water.
That’s our happy hour.
Not so fancy, but we are happy. Tonight we will order dinner.
Happy Saturday night or Sunday to all!

@DianneN Well you don't need a bunch of stuff, if you are gonna eat dinner later.

Sounds like a great evening. I had a bowl of chicken corn chowder. It was yummy. No cheese board here. :-)

so what if happy hour is 2 hours long. Is it one happy hour, and then one melancholy hour?

@DianneN so the first is happy hour, the 2nd is what? giddy hour? a giggling hour?

@DianneN Like I said ... I'd keep you drunk all the time, not too drunk but a little drunk
