Just a little tip from me to you about the water

When the temperature gets way down there at least 1 degree or lower you should let the water drip so the pipes will not freeze. This way you will be able to you your water. If you do not let it drip then you will have to wait till they unfreeze so best to let the water drip so you can use it. Just a tip and I am sure there are those here that knew it but for those that did not this is an important tip for you in winter. Thank you for reading this and I hope it helps you.

I never imagine this could happen. We don't have winter in our place, only dry and wet season. But I do appreciate learning new things here.

@myklj999 Thank you for the additional info JJ. I have watched several US movies in the past, example the Home Alone movies where the swimming pool was frozen but I never have thought the the water in the pipe could also freeze.

We never leave our water dripping but our house has excellent insulation and unless we lose electricity the pipes will not freeze. At our cottage however, we do recognize the value of this very good tip.

@Hannihar it does once in a while but it is usually in the late summer or early fall when we may get hurricanes.

That's an interesting tip, thanks. Fortunately it's not cold enough in my house for the pipes to freeze and I turn off the supply to the outside ones.
