Hubby really had his heart set on eating out. What he had in mind first, I would not go for. It was a small Mexican restaurant I have been to one time and I was not impressed.
We were heading out of town, mostly to eat and "do stuff", then he mentioned the Cafe.
Town and Country Cafe is owned by people I know pretty well. Friday nights their special is a Catfish Dinner. We order the large and have enough to bring home to heat up in the oven tomorrow night.
I feel confident about our local place and it just feels good to be supporting local business in this uncertain economic time.
And the fish was good. I also had a baked potato. I only ate half of each.
But I did eat my whole salad first.

I am wanting to patronize this place more. Friends of mine run it.

I am not sure I know about the tents in restaurants. We went early and the place was not at even 25% capacity.

@GardenGerty The governor in my state is being quite strict on gatherings. Restaurants are still mostly closed, except for take away food. So restaurants need to survive. They started erecting big room sized tents and put big heaters out in the tents. Supposedly there is enough ventilation to keep everyone safe. Looks like a sci-fi novel, parking lots filled with white tents.

@sallypup I see. I was imagining tents inside the building. Makes more sense.

This is much better than a chain business for sure. Plus we have enough left for another meal.

It is always good to support local businesses when we can. They need our support the most. Good luck. Glad to hear you enjoyed your meal.

We could order and pick up but it tastes better fresh. We are able to be socially distant.

Many places are still closed. This cafe is one that a lot of truck driver's rely on as it is on a business route.

@GardenGerty Unfortunately no one can stay open here, they are all closed in Switzerland until the end of February.

That seems to be a common name for many things in Kansas. Funny about it being a bank where you are.
