When I went to Claudia´s house a couple of days ago, she gave me 4 eggs of her hens. The hens are very happy. They are free in Claudia´s garden all day and it seems that we won´t have tomatoes this year. The little devils love them! But they lay eggs and today I will make an omelette with 2 of them. The yolk in very orange and the shell is very hard. Who knows what the hens eat besides my tomatoes! I´ll tell you later if those hppy eggs have a dofferent taste.

I bet those eggs will be really good. Naturally laid and fresh. Do let us know how the omelet turns out.

The eggs surely taste a lot better than those you buy in the store.

The omelette was delicious. I guess one can´t have it all. I have a small garden now. The rest is Luna´s.

i like very orange yoke because it has more protein i think. more nutritious than the light yellow yoke.

They also eat corns. Not on the tree, but dried corns that we bought to feed them. Basically chicken and duck eat almost anything. I even give them rotten food that I need to clear.

My mom also has happy hens, she only have them for the eggs, she doesn't kill them and they are free in the backyard.

That orange colour must be due to those tomatoes that they ate (lol)

I’m sure Claudia has very happy hens with delicious tasting eggs. They don’t get any fresher than that!
