One task invariably creates several more

It seems when you start a job, you create more. We’ve bought ourselves a fire-fighting unit but now we need to be able to refill the tanks quickly. We are putting in a tap into a water-line down near a cleared area where we’d take refuge if there was a bushfire close by.
We don’t have the right fittings so we’re going into Bunbury today to get them. We also need to buy some netting to put round five peppermint trees that we’re about to plant. And, seeing that we have to make the trip, we’ll take in the movie, Penguin Bloom, which has been getting really good press. MyLotter, Valerie, has watched it on Netflix and recommended it.
That should take up most of our day, I think.
The photo shows the pipes we’ve exposed. A T-piece will be put in the pipe at the bottom of the photo and a standpipe and tap added. One day soon, I’ll be able to show you an ‘after’ photo.

Yes we do have more work associated with new things.
The pipes and other things show that you have a lot of pending works.

We hadn't previously thought about how we'd fill the tank but we've worked it out now.

Did you have to dig up the lawn to lay the pipes? It's a big job as lawn is usually tightly packed and hard to remove. We put retic in one of the paddocks where the Music Shack is but we hired a trench-digger which made the work a lot easier.

@JudyEv I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's good. Now you just have to be motivated enough to actually do the work.

@garymarsh6 It would be awful to survive a fire then die of COVID!
It reminds me of a story, which may not be true, of a rescued seal which was finally released, with much fanfare and media attention, back into the sea only to be snapped up by a shark. Not funny but you have to laugh.

i am one bolt short of finishing
that is the sad reality of virtually every project I start. If, however, i can replace it with a plastic part, i print one!

@DocAndersen We have used those wall anchors and they're really good. We have so many screws, bolts, fasteners of all kinds, accumulated over many years of course, but it's amazing how often we don't have the exact size we need. Glad yours magically appeared.

@JudyEv i was working on adding a shelf in the garage. I was actually one wall anchor short. It (since you don't want to hear about it) magically appeared an hour later!

While we've been working down the paddock, we regularly see at least a dozen magpies looking for worms or whatever. I will probably think of Penguin Bloom every time I see one now.
