I was so Tired

Yesterday, I took a break from the computer and walked around my block. I saw a neighbor and we sat outside talking for a while. I felt tired but kept working. I went upstairs around 8 pm and fell asleep. I woke suddenly and it was midnight. I don't know why sitting in the sunshine and fresh air made me so tired. Are there times when you feel that way? Should I have stayed up until bedtime or just sleep? I watched youtube for a couple of hours after that.

I've done that before, too. I usually watch movies on YouTube, too, when I wake up like that.

@akalinus I was always told we do that after we get some nice fresh air and a little bit of exercise.

@DaddyEvil We stayed outside because of the virus. It was one of those delicious days that rarely happen. And I did walk a little before I saw her out.

That is interesting. I wonder why we do that.

Yes I felt this way many times after enjoying time outside and I depending on the time would come in and relax .

@Tina30219 Yes, I really did, I guess. Otherwise, I would not be sleeping.

Sometimes I just feel tired for no apparent reason and I try to listen to my body.

@akalinus I don't usually get that at least not in a while but I haven't taken a nap in a couple of months.

You need to sleep when you are tired but I don't like the heavy, loopy feeling of suddenly waking up and feeling heavy and sluggish.

@BelleStarr I think regular sleep is important but sometimes, we are just exhausted. I am really tired right now but will stay up until the time I usually go to sleep.

If I feel tired by 8 pm I go to sleep and I do not wait. At most I get up earlier in the morning.

@akalinus It does not happen often during winter that I am tired at 8 pm, when I work outside in summer it happens.

@LadyDuck Yes, because you are out working in the air and sunshine. It makes people tired.

@akalinus It happens perhaps when you are already mentally tired.I think you should have kept awake till bed time so that you could have a good, refreshing sleep at night.

@Shivram59 This is true but I have trouble sleeping. I wake up in the middle of the night. Probably because I was looking for your kitchen.

Maybe you needed a nap after all the fresh air.

I guess I did. I hope that does not happen the next time. Do you nap after going out?

@CarolDM Usually, I never sleep during the day. I feel loopy when I wake up if I do. Some people can nap and be refreshed. It does not work that way for me.

Sometimes I think doing something different from the norm can poop us out - even if it's not anything major. But with kids here and all, I usually don't have a chance to sleep any earlier.

My mistake was deciding to rest for a few minutes. It turned into hours.

It is quite bizarre when that happens when you think you will just have a ten minute nap but then turns into a monster session! Fresh sea air does that to me!

I don't know if we have any sea air. We are 50 miles or more from the ocean or bay.

It's best to sleep when you're tired. I went to bed early Sunday night and got 9.5 hours of sleep.

Fresh air and sunshine can knock me out. I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy the nice weather and have a visit with your neighbor. We're buried under snow here so I'm kind of jealous of your warm weather and sunshine.Just trying to get to the mailbox is next to impossible.

I lived with snow for many years. I hate it, too. That's why I moved to Florida. It has been cold here though. That is why I went outside yesterday to take advantage of fresh air and sunshine.

@akalinus You are right. I don't have that luxury of time but yes YouTube and Pinterest have been great help for ideas and I have learnt a lot of gardening skills from YouTube.
