There were no mice, now the little ants were barely visible

Every time something is running rampant, after all the mice are gone now the ants are naughty and I even drink ant water. Do you deal with them often?

Ants are coming inside from a couple of days, I have placed ants traps.

Ants will dig a hole and they will not stop doing that.

@May2k8 Those are special traps, they go inside to eat a gel that is inside the trap, they are poisoned and they poison their nests.

@LadyDuck I don't want the poison poisoning incident to happen again, it might turn against me.

Oh dear. Now you have ants too I live on the second floor and luckily they don't come up here. I guess they find enough on the floors below

@May2k8 Think positive though - two for the price of one

You are lucky you don't found ants on the second floor, I only have one floor and the ants drink my water and when I drink the water they drift up to my stomach.

@mysdianait Only the water feels musty, this is not ordinary water.

Good that the mice are gone. And now you have ants. I noticed ants visited me as well, I hope they will go out.

@jobelbojel it's okay, it's my fault for being so annoyed with mice.

There are ants all over at the start of summer and I spray and get rid of the ants.

@jstory07 I just remembered with magic chalk, they can be blocked by these things.

There are probably a thousand or so ants here and I can't possibly spray them all.

During the Spring, when the weather starts to warm and the ants wake up, they come inside the house. We go out and spray around the base of the house. No more ants for the rest of the year. I hope you get the ants under control.

The sprays just seem to be wasted, I haven't bought the magic chalk that should have prevented them.

@DaddyEvil All I have is magic chalk because it's just like regular chalk maybe it same with what you mean there. Because there are too many ants here, spray is not effective for cleaning everything.

@May2k8 Do you mean diatomaceous earth? It is a white chalky powder that kills ants and other bugs. I have both but the sprays seem to do a better job here. I like the diatomaceous earth when my houseplants get flying midges. It kills them fast.

When it's summer, sometimes ants appear in my house and then I go crazy.

How did it happen? Maybe the hot air makes you feel uncomfortable.

@Nevena83 As long as they don't propagate, you don't have to panic.

Sometimes they are a problem here when the weather is warm. I hate all insects..unless you count butteflies, but I think they fall into a separate category.

If the insects don't bother us, we won't bother them either but sometimes they are cap the climax.

@snowy22315 That's true, but if they think you dropped something which they could possibly eat then they'll come over there.

I only deal with ants outside but they are carpenter ants and do not get into the water.

It could be that the water is fresh and doesn't taste sweet.

You have so many critters coming into the house! We have treatments done around the perimeter of our house to prevent them from getting in.

They will always be here, time is moving forward and when one of them is not there the next generation will continue their actions.

Lately, ants often enter the house. They even eat anything, including rice and side dishes that are on the dining table. Usually they only want sugar or sweet foods.
