Oh dear. Now you have ants too
I live on the second floor and luckily they don't come up here. I guess they find enough on the floors below

@mysdianait Only the water feels musty, this is not ordinary water.

Good that the mice are gone. And now you have ants. I noticed ants visited me as well, I hope they will go out.

@jobelbojel it's okay, it's my fault for being so annoyed with mice.

During the Spring, when the weather starts to warm and the ants wake up, they come inside the house. We go out and spray around the base of the house. No more ants for the rest of the year.
I hope you get the ants under control.

@DaddyEvil All I have is magic chalk because it's just like regular chalk maybe it same with what you mean there.
Because there are too many ants here, spray is not effective for cleaning everything.

@May2k8 Do you mean diatomaceous earth? It is a white chalky powder that kills ants and other bugs.
I have both but the sprays seem to do a better job here. I like the diatomaceous earth when my houseplants get flying midges. It kills them fast.

Sometimes they are a problem here when the weather is warm. I hate all insects..unless you count butteflies, but I think they fall into a separate category.

@May2k8 I can tolerate them if they stay outside in their place!

@snowy22315 That's true, but if they think you dropped something which they could possibly eat then they'll come over there.
