I am going to take the risk the day...

...after tomorrow. You must be intrigued. Since I was given a final warning due to the unexpected power outage and the student complained about it, so I am planning to have one or two absences. The rule of thumb is that I do not need to incur another complaint from a student. If it happens, I will be suspended for a week. This week, I can sense that a rude student will complain, so it is better not to attend his one or two classes online. The game plan is to be absent from his first-class and hopefully, he will cancel the other classes. I hope this course of action will be successful. Are you a risk-taker? Did you ever feel frustrated over something? Image Credit: projectboldlife.com

I hope it will work. If not, then I will just face the consequences, which I do not mind at all.

@Shavkat I know you want to quit working for them anyway, but it might be better to keep this job if you can until after the pandemic is over.

@DaddyEvil Indeed. I do have a backup. However, it is better to keep this job. A week of suspension is fine. After which, I can still work without any hassles. Being absent from this rude student is the best option because he cannot complain against me.

so that means you will be applying to another company. I rather absent myself than face those rude students who the company will forever be faithful with

No need to apply for another company for now. If they are going to terminate me, that's the only time I will do it. I have a backup if it happens. I just do not want to be with this rude student. He was shouting at me the last time I had a class with him.

@rakski I always wondered why they keep on booking. They are making the virtual teachers' lives in hell. The sad part is that the company just ignoring this issue. That's the reason why I stopped complaining about it to them. As I had mentioned before, it is a pointless act.

@Shavkat I cannot understand those students. They shout to teachers yet they continuously book them. Why not book another??

I hope that your strategy works. I can take risks if I evaluated all the dangers first.

Taking this risk is not that serious. If it will affect me physically or even mentally, I will not take the risk.

I'm cautious, but not overly so. I chose my risks carefully. While I am not fearless, I am no dare devil, either.

With this situation of mine, it is not too risky. But I never dared to jeopardize my life by taking any risks.

Is there any other way done being absent? I am only concerned with your pay. Maybe talk to your boss to reschedule when the power outage is over.

There is no other choice. The company is not open to this kind of option. They just do not care. That's the reason why I chose this solution as my best option.

It wasn't my fault that I had experienced a power outage. At some point, the company is not considerate enough to understand it. I hope this course of action will turn out to be fine.
