Another challenge coming up

Over twelve months ago, an acquaintance booked us to take photos at a swimming carnival. We queried the date but yes, they were booking us for some fifteen months ahead. And blow me down, the time has come. The weekend after next we’re travelling to Mt Barker to the south-east of us. It is a 2-day carnival with some 400 events. Can you imagine how many photos we’re going to have? I hope Vince doesn’t decide to teach me how to process them.
But before that happens, we have friends arriving this Sunday and on Monday we’re going to Wellington Weir to see the mural which has been painted on the weir wall. You might remember I wrote about it a while back. Well, now it’s finished so I’ll be able to show you photos of the finished product.
The photo is of the weir in its heyday when it was running over.

I suspect you and Vince will be quite busy at that photo shoot. He may need a bit of help processing all those photos...

I've been wanting to have a family photo done for a while. Now that we are redecorating the living/dining room areas I think there is a nice spot for a big family photo but my girls are too difficult. Don't want to get their picture taken, don't want to do their hair and stuff. But I would like one last one before this family of four becomes a family of five.

Maybe ask the girls how they'll feel 20 years down the track when they don't have a record from this period. And you'll be a grandmother soon? Congratulations. That will be exciting.

@patgalca My plan too though my kids are young and love photos so much. Hope your girls cooperate this time family is nice thing!

At a first glance, I thought it is a picture of a place with flood.
Yet now I remember this dam.
400 events - that is a big number !
So are huge crowds expected.

Yes as and when required.
Here cases have reduced a lot but the worry is that since many people seem to be getting careless and skipping wearing masks, we could see another rise.
Plus not all have been vaccinated.

It seems like a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Processing the photos will take a good bit of time, won't it?

Vince shoots in something called RAW and all those photos have to be processed. Mine will be JPegs but still need tweaking. Hopefully with swimming, I won't be able to have too many non-horizontal horizons!! That would be one less tweak to do.

@LadyDuck I'm the same. As soon as Vince is watching, I start fumbling or making errors. And many things I have to deal with are 'male' I am sure. For instance, locks won't open for me easily but as soon as Vince takes over, and does exactly the same as I did, they fall open very easily. It's really annoying.
