Today's hike: Almost Ireland. But not quite Ireland.

The grass is getting greener in the East Bay hills near Mt. Diablo. But it is not quite at the "looks like Ireland" stage.
We hiked today and found only more California Poppies. No Indian Warrior or Indian Paintbrush yet.
I brushed up against a Manzanita (little apple in Spanish) bush and was almost mortally wounded. OK, I shed a tiny bit of blood.
I will attach a picture of one of the views today, but from a couple of years past and a month or so later (in the Spring).
Did you get some exercise in on this sunny and cool Sunday?

It's nice to know Spring hasn't forgotten us but we won't see signs of it for several more weeks. We still have deep snow drifts here. The temp did get up to 43 F outside, though, but we only looked out the door. Neither one of us wanted to go out.

@TheHorse I'm comfortable moving around outside in shirtsleeves at 50 F but will start feeling chilly if standing still for too long.

That would mean a pleasant weather. Here the day temperatures are rising to 26/27 C and one can roam around without a sweater during the day time.

What a beautiful photo! We don’t have any mountains around here that look like that!!
I didn’t get much exercise because of the cold and the icy conditions outside. Plus, I’ve fallen twice on the ice and snow, so I’m letting my body recover.

Just my daily game of Pokemon Go. It was cool, but of course I agreed to do laundry tonight. I need shorts. The weather is warming up and I can't complain.

@TheHorse Well, yes and no. You can actually interact with the game without being glued to your phone. It alerts you when Pokemon are nearby so you don't have to walk around looking at your phone.

What a gorgeous picture. It does look like Ireland. We are hoping for some substantial s**w melting today as the temps finally get above freezing.

wOW, it is surprising to see Calif so green. I guess the Northern part of the state has greenery in places though. I vacationed in Norther Calif many moons ago. It certainly isn't as dry as the Southern part!
