Woke up to cloudy skies after lots of rain overnight. Now the sun is making an appearance. Both cats joined me earlier in the screen room.
Brendel is back in her bed now. The Dude decided to soak up a few more rays before he was ready to come back inside.
Seeing most of the snow melted and the sunshine makes us all happier. Better days are on the horizon.
Snapped this photo as the Dude chilled on the cushion and watched the birds.

@DocAndersen I tried working for rescues but got my heart broken too many times. Would love to do this kind of work but I am too sensitive I suppose.

@CarolDM there is a group called DC Canine Rescue that works to close kill shelters. my daughters dog was in one, and on the clock (about two weeks left) before they reduced her.

@CarolDM And here today it was sunny and quite warm, it was funny to me today how many people do not know how to dress, some were in jackets others even in T-shirts ... when you look from the side, we look like a nation that is torn at the seams
