I got a call from my computer man, he got the new battery for my old laptop and it was all fixed. I asked Al if h felt like going for a ride, he was. So off we went.
I went to CVS to pick up a prescription. You would think since I always use Good RX for this prescription they would automatically do it that way but no, they do it with insurance. I asked for good RX and she said if she looks at that price she can't go back to insurance. I said go ahead and put it on Good RX, she told me to come back in 20 minutes. I told her that I was going to have the prescription transferred somewhere else since in Florida they can do this quite simply at the CVS. She asked me if I wanted to do that while they were working on it. I said yes I was done with them. And I am. It is always something with CVS I am done giving them any business. We have Walgreens and Stop and Shop or Big Y so that is where I will go from here on.
While I was in Stop and Shop I grabbed a package of fresh cut-up butternut squash.
Then we went out to lunch. A favorite Asian restaurant of ours is right next door to the grocery store. I was a little hesitant but there was only one table occupied so we sat rather far away from them and enjoyed our lunch. It was so good and so good to actually eat in a restaurant. The photo is my spicy edamame.
Then we went home and I did some school work with Jack on the phone and watch two episodes of the new Queen Latifa show "The Equalizer". I like it a lot!!
That is my day so far, right now I am watching Great British Menu Season 12 and I have two articles to write by the 27th. Hope everyone had a good day.
I went to Stop and Shop and ordered the prescription. I will have to use insurance there since their Good RX price is higher than the insurance price.

So you ended up using insurance anyway. Gheesh! huh? I am enjoying Queen in her new show. She plays a cool character. Hope it lasts a while.

I know and with Al’s exelon patch it saves us about $300 a year not to use insurance.

That's odd that the Good RX price was higher than with insurance. We use a small local pharmacy and they really go all out to compete with the chain pharmacies. I don't know how I would cope if I had to use the Walmart Pharmacy. Probably get kicked out.
Glad y'all got to enjoy a nice lunch actually inside.

Good RX is not always cheaper than insurance it depend on which pharmacy. I usually check and use whatever is lower and if we use good rx we avoid the donut hole.

Busy day. I could go for some Asian food. I wonder if you can use the Good Rx pricing if you're on Medicare?

Yes we are on Medicare advantage. You just choose to use it if the price is better. I have the app on my phone.

Because the price with Good RX is better than with our insurance. On one of Al's medications Good RX saves us more than $300 a year, It is the same reason I order one of my meds from Canada, I save over $1,000 a year.

@BelleStarr That’s a huge savings. Wow! Fortunately, we don’t have to pay anything for meds, but will keep that in mind in the future.
