I used to look forward to the day when I might get twenty to forty responses...

But, I've since realized they can be hard to keep up with especially when the system says so and so and three other people responded. You forget to find those other people. Especially with all the duplicate ads on each page it makes it even more difficult.
I also try to go and visit with anyone that did respond and if I didn't find them the first time that makes it harder to do.
What about you, do you hope for more responses or less to keep it easier on yourself?

@MarshaMusselman Most people drop the conversation almost immediately. I have some conversation going on from more than one year.

Some of us can make a conversation or thread last a long time while others nip it in the bud almost immediately. There are many ways to work it here.

@LadyDuck wow, that's a long time. I must not have run into that person yet.

It would be nice if I got more responses instead of having to search around for active members or active discussions I can relate to. It doesn't matter to me who made the discussion, me or them as long as there is responses and interaction without just "falling off of a cliff" but that is Mylot for the most part with a lot of members.
When it is slow, it is boring to me for the most part so I go to other websites to earn during the slow time. Have to earn money online daily and don't have time to waste.

@DaddyEvil I have noticed that too in the evenings. It is quite busy during the most days but not always for me.

@stephcjh How do you find discussions to talk on? I use the 'Follow' button. People I follow write discussions and I can find them there. Most of the time, I can find something in their discussion to talk about... sometimes, when I'm not interested in the discussion they write but I haven't seen/talked with them in a while I'll just talk about whatever I like. If they aren't interested, they ignore me. If they are interested in what I have to say, they'll respond.
I know that's not how most people use myLot but I've never gotten in trouble for using it that way.

@sharon6345 Same here. It gets slow on my end too so I am trying to make discussions to get some activity going for myself and others.

I used to be overwhelmed with responses on my discussions and then the responses I'd get from talking on other people's discussions. I'd get upwards of 250 people talking to me all at once... and it scared me! (I actually hate writing my own discussions because it feels like work responding to them but when I talk on other people's discussions, I feel I can just talk and enjoy myself.
Your cactus is very pretty!

When I get close to 100 notifications I can get overwhelmed too because I'm not always here to be able to keep up. Lately I've been doing better and have even had time to visit new activity and others tabs.
I think I thought that the more responses I had the faster I might make the money and while that is true to a very small degree I know that others of you do very well without barely writing anything new at all.
It does help to know who will be replying sooner than later though especially during the last days of each month.

@myklj999 those are the funnest, my phone put dumbest but I don't want to say that. I then want to say ' nice response' but I don't want them to think that's okay. Sometimes I'll ask a question related to the discussion to hopefully get more than a generic comment.

My highest thus far has been 25 but it's very rare. 15-20 is more common more recently but I still get discussions that go splat.

I've been almost missing some that visit the discussion a few days later especially when the system clumps several people together and the first is in the beginning but the rest could be found anywhere.

There are times it's that way for many of us I think. There are ways too work it though so you have the interactions there when you return.

The image is what I have selected for notifications. I used to use "comments on my response" and "comments on a response to" checked as well. I received far too many notifications that way. I still sometimes come on with 50 or more notifications, but most of the time I have 20 notifications to sift through now.

Lol. You'll catch up I'm sure and I can't see that happening. I either respond now or forget.
Sometimes you have to switch and go to the bottom to work on them before they fall off. But I'm sure you already know that.

I've developed the habit of going down to the bottom of my posts when I have multiple responses. I hate not to reply to anyone who's been kind enough to leave me a comment. I wonder why they can't leave unanswered comments at the top of the post?

I like to see what everyone is up to and I post what I can, I just go with the flow what response I get I get and I respond accordingly as well as read as many posts as I can when I am on here, That is a lovely cactus,

I'm hoping the cactus blooms more than it ever had before June I've finally learned how to water it during it's blooming cycle.
I go with the flow with responses too but if and when I get a lot I can write a little less as far as discussions. Some do weeks without having a lot of disgusting I feel I do better when I write something new more often whilst going around and visiting with others here too.

For me, the more the merrier. More responses are harder to keep up with. But I always go back to older posts to make sure I have not missed anyone, and usually find I have.
I wish they'd do away with the so and so and 8 other people responded notifications and just keep it down to each individual response. I usually just delete those notifications and go back into the post to see what I need to see.
