Let me just start by saying sales at work are going awesome so far, and we are only on day five of the month. If it keeps up like this it will be one hell of a commission check next month.
Onward and upward.
So, tonight I am by myself. My wife is meeting up with my sister, my niece, and my brother-in-law's sister for a girl's night out.
They aren't doing anything spectacular. Just hanging out with some food and drinks at my brother-in-law's sister's house. Dawn took some Truly's and a bottle of wine. She should be fine.
For dinner tonight I will probably get Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken and a couple of sides. I am thinking potato salad and fried okra. Yummy stuff, and there is nothing like Lee's.
We love being married of course. We have been together for 16 years, and married for 14 years. But alone time is still a good thing from time to time.
Just going to enjoy doing whatever the heck I want for the few hours I have to do it. lol

@lovebuglena Usually if I go out with the guys I just get in trouble anyway. Staggering through the door at 3am sometimes makes the wife mad. lol

We all need our alone time, I get a lot of it because my husband works outside the home. But, he gets about an hour or so when I go play Pokemon go on his days off, or he'll wonder outside to smoke. I tend to give him his space when he's out smoking, but he knows I will come to him if I need him.

It's been a while since I have traveled for work, Covid travel restrictions imposed by the company and all. But when I do travel we both get a little break from each other. The only downfall is she gets to be home with all her creature comforts and I am stuck in hotels.

I hope you enjoy your alone time and yes, it is good to be apart for short periods it relieves a lot of tension of always being together no matter how much you love each other,

@porwest We haven't recently but never felt the need to either. Vince went to Nepal twice but with a volunteer group. He is supposed to go to golf twice a week but it doesn't always happen. But it's okay. I don't feel the need to be on my own but I enjoy it when it happens.

We all need it from time to time. It's why, as well, even if the wife and I decide to RV in retirement, it will not be a permanent thing. Just a couple weeks out and a couple weeks in. I think if we were in such close quarters permanently we'd probably kill each other. lol
