We get updates regularly about the virus in our county.
The update tonight says that we have not had any confirmed new case, although there is one probable case.
No one is in the hospital with covid at this time either.
Fourteen people in our community have died from it. Thousands have been vaccinated. I think things are looking up.

That is what I keep praying for that all this goes away and things can settle down

@stephcjh Tired of the many aspects of the disease, but willing to do whatever keeps us healthy.

@GardenGerty Me too. I social distance a lot. I do not get out much anyway or have people over. Too busy for that.

The facebook page for our city used to update us regularly. I go to the NCDHHS website now, but I haven't been since yesterday.
I know my county's hospitalizations have decreased.

It is good to see numbers going down and statistics improving.

@GardenGerty All we can hope is that it will stay that way. The variants of the virus seem to be the most worrisome now.

I believe it will be recurring, just like the flu.

@GardenGerty Very true but I mean gone as far as in the spotlight taking over our lifestyles.

They seem to be. Of course we are rural and not very densely populated. That helps a lot.

Good to see things are starting to return to normal, instead of the "new normal".

Yes, that mutation is scary. Where I live has very low population and I think that makes it safer. Maybe we follow rules better as well.

@GardenGerty The small place where I live is safe, all people respect the rules and wear the mask. We are concerned by the mutations found in Italy, that is only a few miles from us.

That is good news. Not so here. On the one hand people are getting vaccinated and on the other cases are rising.

Most people are willing to get vaccinated, except a few rebellious ones and one or two whose doctors feel they have conditions that might get worse from it.
