Over the hill and far away

This morning, we went down to the big shed to sort out some of the items there. There were two tyres that are of no use so I wheeled one out to add to others that were already outside. Once outside the door, I gave it a push to send it over a bit of a bank. I thought it would fall over onto the others that are there.
However, it bounced down the bank and continued on its merry way down the paddock. No drama – it was bound to stop when it reached the fence which consists of five plain wires. But it went straight through the fence and continued down the next paddock heading for our little dam. Up the bank of the dam it went, did a bit of a curve then down the bank out of sight and I presume it’s now in the water.
I told Vince about the tyre. He was a bit incredulous so I did the same thing with the second tyre and off down the paddock it went, straight through the fence and on towards the dam. However, this one veered a little to the left and went on to explore the bush around the dam. If you had wanted the tyres to do that, there is no way it would have happened.
Oh well, such is life.
The photo is of our friend’s little dog,Mopsy, at the edge of the dam.

i would bet if you did that 20 times, you wouldn't get those results more than the 2 times you did!

@DocAndersen I just expected them to wobble and fall over before they even got to the fence but no, they had a great old time rolling down the paddock.

@JudyEv I would have figured the fence or friction would have stopped it

@JudyEv I wondered about that. Was it a really old fence?

@DaddyEvil Not really - 17 years. It's just five plain wires but it isn't as tight as it could be. The wires never even slowed up the tyres. lol And one went through quite close to the post

@wolfgirl569 If they all went in the dam, they'd fill it up.

@moffittjc But we might take down some more limbs and create more mess.

These two were quite wide which is probably why they went on ... and on ... and ....

It's a Maltese/Shih Tzu cross. They're very popular here. Some come out more like one breed or the other but they all have lovely temperaments. Here is another friend's little dog - same cross.

That is the cutest dog and of course if you had planned that it would never have worked.

These tyres seem to be quite determined about where they wanted to go.
