I suffer from Eczema. I am trying my best to stay away from anything acidic that tends to make my symptoms worse.
I stopped eating fruits that are acidic even though I love them all and I stopped eating tomatoes which I love.
What kinds of drinks can I get that taste good that do not have an acidic base to them?
Even Gatorade that I am drinking right now, has folic acid in it. Grrrr.
I do not want to drink just plain water all of the time.

Have you tried drinking "Yakult"? It's a pro-biotic drink with live bacteria that is useful for your stomach.

@gamayngbaki Oh I see. I bet those are good. I love yogurt but I like fruit in mine. I think some fruits break me out also but I just cannot cut out everything lol.

@stephcjh "Yakult" is very popular here in my country. This is similar to yogurt drink, but more delicious and very healthy drink.

Flavored water maybe. But not sure.
I suffered from eczema before but not the serous kind. I used Lucas Papaw ointment from Australia and it worked. Eczema never came back.

I'm currently dealing with it, but then again I'm lucky if I eat one full meal a day and only drink water before I need to get my blood drawn. Trying to be a little better about that.

@LadyDuck I may try some sometime. I am just not sure if the taste will be satisfying. I am going to be drinking more tea. They say stress causes eczema flares. I stay stressed so I bet that has a lot to do with it plus my health issues with my immune system as well, causes it so it is a no win really.
I just cannot blame it all on food and drink choices.

There are water flavor enhancers, like Mio.

How about flavored water or tea. I am not sure if they have no acid. I stopped drinking soda because of acid content.

@stephcjh I tried the flavored water once and did not buy again. It is not that I don't like it, it is expensive. I will just drink my mineral water.

It's carbonation acidic? The amount of acid in folic acid might be minimal.

@MarshaMusselman Yeah. I have tried the crystal light. I will have to check to see what the ingredients are in those though. Haven't had those in a while. I love grape. Thank you Marsha.

@stephcjh sparkling water is also probably acidic then? I don't enjoy plain water either. Have you ever tried chrystal light flavorings? Those are good w with no carbonation. I used to drink the grape and switched to citrus.

Really don't know anything not acidic... I just hope your condition will improve until there's no need to take some precautions...

Thank you so much. The more I read about it, the more I think it is due to my stress levels more than it is to a food allergy. Just wish I could keep the stress under control but that is hard to do when it is out of my hands a lot of times. I try my best though.

From wha to m one about eczema fruit isn’t the cause of it. A lot of people do get flare up if they have food allergies or sensitive but over all if someone has it it’s also some times genetic and lotion and other topical creams can help.
My littlest was bad before we found out all of his food allergies not it’s more manageable. He drinks water lots of milk of course. Plan water with real fruit in it.

I know how you feel..I too cannot do the acid drinks
I have a bladder condtion that prevents it
So far I have found nothing to help it..only water.
Tea and coffee also can trigger it.
Good luck
