20s in the 70s and 70s in the 20s

I had to post this meme because this is 100% me. I was in my 20s in the 70s; and now I'm in my 70s in the 20s...although mentally I still feel like I'm in my 20s! I definitely had much more fun in the 70s. I know there are several members that share these exact sentiments with me because of their ages. We won't say who though! I don't care how old I get through the years, I will always act and think like I'm a 20 year old. Life is much more fun that way.

@LindaOHio Yes, that is definitely too bad. We need to figure out how to keep our bodies as young as our minds!

Did you ever see that movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Brad Pitt? Strange, but really good. He grew from a really old baby to a younger adult. That's kind of how I feel. I feel younger than I did in the 70's. On most days, lol.

I may not be in my 70s but i could relate to this! I also feel like I’m in my 20s and I’m in my 40s. We all are of the same age, MENTALLY!

Or being in the 70s in any decade. I hung a roller shade on an east-facing window last night, and I was thinking about how it was when I bought this house: jumping up and down from the chairs, zip-zip got the entire thing done in a few minutes. It took me an hour, with a break, to hang the roller shade, I crawled up and down the chair (especially near the end), and I ran immediately to the tub for an epsom salt soak! And I’m just 60! What was it WC Fields said, the bad thing about youth is that it’s wasted on the young.

Exactly. Remember how limber you used to be and what a great sense of balance you had?

@LindaOHio That’s the way to feel. I’m a grammy, so have to feel a little bit older.

That's me! I refuse to say/think that I'm old! Bad word! We also had much better music back in those days!

The music from the 60s and 70s was awesome. I'm glad to see the young people of today enjoying that same music.

I don't worry about aging. I worry about me not learning anything as I age. I bet you already gained more wisdom and experiences compared to younger gen.. what matters is the fun and the memories back in the early years.

I totally agree with you even though I have not reached my 70s yet. I remember regretting that I was born at the end of the 50s and missed all that fun in high school and was too young in the 60s to be part of the hippie generation,

Although our body may get aches and pains our attitudes determine how we really feel. And we all have an inner child within us that does not age unless we let it. "You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old." George Burns an authority on aging, lol

Lots of truth here. But being younger is just more fun, period, no matter the period you are young in. Aging has it's benefits. But they are less than the benefits of being younger in my opinion.

I'm feeling my age, that's for sure. That's clever, 20s in the 70s and 70s in the 20s and interesting it worked out that way.
