Have you set your totally arbitrary MyLot goal for March 2021?

I did not want to stress anyone out by not posting my monthly MyLot Goal Inquiry in a timely fashion. Stress leads to increased evening cortisol levels, which can undermine both health and learning skills. I'm serious! Look it up! Anyway, I am off to a good start this month and will reach $00XY.00 today. With more than seven days left in this month (for me) I should be able to reach my aggressive MyLot goal of $00XZ.0000 by the end of the month. I don't have to work today, so I hope to play some guitar, work on my book, and MyLot. I may also cycle to a local school and practice taking ground balls off of the "handball" court in the play yard. How is your Thursday shaping up? Have you set your totally arbitrary MyLot goal for this month?

Totally and arbitrarily! Made my money, and harassed the daylights out of you! I’m watching tornado coverage out of Birmingham right now.

Yes, I wanted to be paid for this month and have reached that goal... uhm... by the fourth day of the month. I'm reading, myLotting a bit and watching/listening to the rain patter down. I want a sunny day and hope to get one tomorrow. For now, the weather forecast is cooperating. I hope it still does tomorrow. I hope you enjoy your day, pony.

@TheHorse You're welcome... It's only 52 F here today. Tomorrow is supposed to reach 65 F, which works fine for me. (The 52 F would be okay if not for the rain. *sigh*) Well... at least the scientists have proved you aren't killing brain cells when you drink yourself into a nice dreamless sleep.

@DaddyEvil Oh, I didn't know that. I have brain cells and neuronal links to spare. I'm trying to become more normal. Dang it. How can I delete some brain cells?

Thanks, DE. It's sunny out today, and I think it's supposed to reach 71 F. I don't have to work, so I gave myself three "tasks" to do and may cycle out to a local school and practice taking grounders off of the "handball court." Or maybe I'll just drink myself into a deep slumber.

Just a piece of advice coming from a newbie like me. you should focus more on enjoying whatever it is that you do in here and not just focus on how much you can come up in here. But i have to admit i used to be like that too conscious with how much i have earned already specially whenever i am in the mood to write and to communicate with people in here as well. Cheers

LOL! Beware "giving advice" to MyLot members whose numbers suggest that they have been here for awhile. I do my monthly "Have you set your totally arbitrary MyLot goal?" post as friendly satire of those who are concerned with how much money they can make here. Because (most of) my readers are "in on the joke," they know it's not mean-spirited in any way. It's become a silly ritual here. And beware when you read my posts: I often have my tongue in my cheek when I write. I have been known to exaggerate to the point of almost telling untruths!

I guess you could say I did. I decided in January that it would be nice to get paid again... and then February rolled around and it was still a passing fancy... and then March came and I decided I'm getting paid in April, darn it. Today's been interesting so far. I walked a bit, took some pictures of Mama Owl on her nest, and may have to watch out when I go back next as I was getting the stink eye from employees at the veterinary clinic directly beside the owls' tree. The owls are well camouflaged, though, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had no inkling why someone might stand out in front of their practice with a DSLR and a giant lens.

@TheHorse I'm not sure they realize the owls are there. The tree the owls are in is directly in front of one of the clinic's windows, which for whatever reason has no blinds or other covering over it. So if one didn't know that the owls nest there every year they might think I was trying to take pictures through the window. I'm pretty sure owls are similar to crows and ravens in recognizing individual humans. When I first started walking down that way several years ago, they were always on high alert and watchful. Now, I might get a sleepy blink but they're completely unconcerned with me even though they'll dive after certain dog walkers and joggers. Leaving them in peace is a large part of why I splurged on that lens, though! I can get my shots and still keep a respectable distance from the nest itself.

@yukimori I think I'd step into the clinic with the photos you've taken of the owls and show them why you're there with a camera. Or maybe I'd just ignore the people and do what I want anyway. You aren't on their property and aren't actually doing anything wrong. I guess it would depend on how I was feeling whether I'd bother or not.

Why the stank eye? Did they think you were going to harm the owls somehow? If you didn't engage in "predatory behavior," it shouldn't stress them.

I blew past my March goal on March 1. This is going to be a good month for me. Being stuck at home for three weeks with Covid does wonders for the myLot earning potential.

@moffittjc Here's a "fun fact": I've written a lot of stuff over the years. Sometimes I "feel inspired." Sometimes I feel like I could give a sh*t about what I'm writing. Writing becomes like trying to force out a turd that has turned sideways in your colon. But when I read what I write weeks later, I can't tell the difference. I'm glad you managed to "crawl" to the computer and type some sh*t. I also hope that you're on the mend.

Sounds like your doing very good for yourself this month. Oh I don’t think I’ll make the $5 this month and that’s okay I’ve been getting money from other sites in a regular bases so to evens out isn’t time. I’m close to $3 so I’d be happy to close out the month of March on mylot with just $4

@TheHorse I know and I've often wondered why. The first couple of hundred million dollars usually come in a week and then it's a struggle to get even a thousand a day and by the 4th week, it's hard to get 10 cents a day. I would love to know why that is.

Now that I'm not posting as much, I tend to get around the same amount each month which is about half or more of what I used to make. As long as I can cash out, I'm happy. Hope you're doing well.

No goals as of this month. Due to offline tasks, kids' exams and a few more factors have made my March subdued in terms of earnings. Late February was marvelous for me and one of the best in perhaps many months. Yet well let me just enjoy the time here.
