... to your neighbors? No, not really. The only people that I say 'Hi' to the owner and her family members of our rented apartment. My family and I do not bother to know the other neighbors. It has been more than a year that we are living here and we had seen their bad sides. We do not have any plans to know them better. The phrase applies to "The first impression lasts.'' Unfortunately, the bad impression stuck to our minds about them now.
How about you, guys?

@cherigucchi Perhaps they can perceive me like it. But then, it is not the basis for treating me differently.

i walk a lot, my path frequently has common parts every day. The first couple of years, virtually no one ever said hi to me. Now, i know more than 1/2 the neighborhood!

I will say hi to you now.
The old house that we had lived before, we have known them since birth. We need to move out because of an inheritance issue. In this new place of ours, we need to secure and stay away from the neighbors. They were not good since we came here.

@DocAndersen It is a good thing that we do not need to deal with them

@Shavkat that is always hard - plus with the pandemic, it is now more of a wave and distance conversation than it used to be!

Yes, if I happen to see them out and about. Most people here wave at each other as they pass by.

@Shavkat ;
I understand what you are saying. I talk to a few here and that is all because I really do not want to get too friendly because then they can use what I tell them against me. I would like if we could keep to ourselves but there is one here that will not let us do it and makes up stuff.

At my trailer, I would say hey to some of neighbors. When I get all moved into my uncle's house, the only neighbors I will say hey to is my great-aunt and my great- uncle.
