I had an unfortunate run in.

Saturday afternoon I cut myself while trying to use my can opener. It bled everywhere. A full size towel was covered in blood after an hour. I wrapped my index finger in paper towels, and head to Dollar General for much needed band aids, and big ones. By the time I got to checkout the blood had soaked through the paper towels, and the cashier's eyes got huge. She ran to get me more paper towels, and was concerned I'd cut it due to negligence at the store. I assured her I had stupidly done it at home.
There was blood in the kitchen, living room carpet, my purse, my pants, and in the bathroom. I currently have it wrapped in four bandages. You might wonder why I didn't go to the hospital. Well, I just didn't want to. Years ago, I cut my hand, went to the hospital, and they sort of humored me with two stitches. I didn't want a reboot of that. Think I should try super glue?

I have a little bottle of nuskin, it is basically super glue.
And yes......it does work provided that you can get the bleeding stopped, it will seal that cut shut as I would imagine that having it on your index finger you will be bumping it and constantly washing it and potentially reopening it again.

I put so many bandages on so it wouldn't bleed through, and then didn't use that hand for a good 24 hours. But every time I change the bandage it opens up again. The good thing is it bleeds less and less each time. I'm just doing my best not to touch that finger to anything. Which is hard when it's your dominant hand. I need to work on not being a klutz!

If I was bleeding that much..I would go to the doctor for sure. If you get stitches you might not get a scar. Or maybe they can use a butterfly bandage or something for you if you say you really don't want stiches.

Sure hope you've stopped bleeding by now. Be careful of infection, too.

I hope you're better now. That must have been scary seeing all that blood.

It must be a serious cut to bleed like that. I hope it's not your dominant hand.

You probably do need stitches. I hope it gets better soon.

I am so sorry, I hope it does not hurt. I keep hemostatic cotton at home, it happens that I cut my fingers, it helps to stop the bleeding.
