It cannot be denied that I have been teaching online for more than seven years. Every virtual teacher has his or her own reasons for being one. Personally, the main reason is that it is flexible to work online. My company is using a booking system that makes it convenient for me and the rest of my virtual colleagues. We can open our work schedule ahead of time and choose the best time and day to work. Besides the point, it is timely and relevant to work at home due to this pandemic.
Moreover, I am still open to working in a company, an institution, or an organization with rigid schedules. It is the way of taking the time to be more productive and enhancing the existing soft skills. But, it will be an idea after this pandemic.
How does a flexible work schedule affect the employees and company?

Is that you when you were a kid? Maybe from yesterday or the day before?

I envy people who can select their schedules ahead of time. Iean I can select mine but it is different working from home.

@jobelbojel I tried three jobs before.
I worked in a Korean school, caregiver school, and taught students online.
It was not easy but I was able to earn more at that time.

@Shavkat so true. I started online and offline. The only problem was back in 2010, I work both offline and online. I got stressed and dropped the online job.

A flexible work schedule has a lot of benefits for both employees and the company. I've worked in a couple of office with a flexible work schedule and I liked it a lot.

Flexibility helps in managing certain things at home apart from work. It has helped during the pandemic times.
On the downside, flexibility at times also means that one might need to work at 11 pm in the night or on a public holiday although not too frequently.

Even those who did not applied for an online teaching job are now doing it because of the pandemic. But the difference is that they could not choose their own schedule. My daughter still go to school because of the facilities. She said that while she is teaching, someone is in-charge of other technical matters. She also have to assist another teacher during her free time. Meaning one teacher is not enough for one class.
So it's really good if you are working for an online company because you can choose your schedule. I also dream of working online on my own schedule but I am not ready to leave my job as of yet.

Before I became a virtual teacher, I just planned to do it as a part-timer. It changed my mind because I need to deal with so many things in my family. Now, I am open to consider this idea and work in an organization, such as an NGO. I am confident to claim that I can do both of these jobs.

@Shavkat It's really good if we have various skills as we can enter in any company. But having a skill that can be used online is what makes us special. I am happy to have this skill as I can use it even with my offline job. You know, even if our jobs are based offline, still most of the tasks already requires online presence and those who have a wider experience of doing things online will always have an advantage compare to those who are just starting to learn because they need to do it. So I should say that even if you decide to work offline for a certain company, you will have the edge over those who don't have experience in working online.

@ARIES1973 I humbly say that some of my batchmates in university are not that equipped in working online. I do not know what happened to them. They did not enhance their soft skills and the possibility of working online that matters.

If you're good at time managment, a flexible work schedule might be the right thing for you, because you know you can get what you need done. On the other hand, it can come back to bite you, if you're the type that needs that firm schedule to keep you on track.
