How much time you can spend talking on phone continuously?

I have seen few people who are able to talk to someone over phone continuously for 4-5 hours. It's really irritating as from where do they get so energy. Also what do you expect they talk to each other for so long. I cannot do that as find attending the phone calls to be boring . I hate them. What about you? Are you in the category of the people who can hold the phone on an ear for a long time? Picture taken from pixabay

I finally quit answering the phone when my sister called. She will talk for hours without letting you hang up. I let her calls ring until she hangs up then I text her and ask what she needed. I can always just stop texting when I'm done talking with her. My sister will tell me the same thing over and over again. I hate that!

@sjvg1976 Nope. She won't let me hang up. She just keeps talking. That's why I text with her. I can stop whether she wants to stop or not.

I cannot talk on phone for hours. Half an hour is more than enough for me.

I've had my share of two-to-four hours , but earbuds and hand-free options are my best friend.

@sjvg1976 Sometimes when you haven't talked to a person for a long time, you find you can't shut up.

Interesting how they can manage that long hours on the phone. At the same time kind of annoying if I see my siblings on the phone that span of time.

I hate to stay for a long time on the phone, I try to cut it short all the time. The most I stayed was 15 minutes with my mom. She lived alone and did not want to be rude.

@LadyDuck yes it is. I wonder how people used to live without mobile phone. I remember few days back we went to a hills station where there were no phone network , we stayed there for two days, it was difficult for the kids to survive without phone.

In fact today I seldom will make a call. Usually I will just send messages to social apps and it is the main communication way for me. I don't even do it often anyway

Back when we actually used phones to talk and not merely to text, chat, take photos, and post online, I can talk on the phone for a good two to three hours.

No phone call that long but video call. The longest would be during a meeting. I think it's around 2-3 hours. Then we stopped and continue in the afternoon as there were more to discuss.

No I put the cell phone on speaker so I do not have to hold it. I only talk on it for an hour at the most.

I don't have to hold my landline telephone when I talk to my friend for about 3 hours. I can put it on the table and use the microphone. I don't talk much on my mobile phone and I hate it when someone call me when I am walking.

That's almost the same. Putting phone on the speaker or talking over phone is one and the same thing.
