Just got back home form the eye doctor. Have been dealing with a red eye and blurry vision for two weeks now.
Thankfully I have no infection. Instead I have a slight corneal abrasion. The eye doctor said sometimes a ceiling fan can blow tiny particles into your eyes.
Many things can happen without you even being aware. The abrasion is a tiny scratch on your cornea. Our cornea is constantly exposed to the environment, making it susceptible to injury. Sometimes a ceiling fan can blow tiny particles in your eye.
I don't know of any of this things happening, but I now have two different eye drops to use every 2-3 hours for three weeks now. Could always be worse I said.
Not my photo. But mine looks similar to this one.

A scratch on the cornea can be very serious! With continued use of those eye drops, it will eventually heal up:) Be very careful

@CarolDM Our eyes are SO important! I'm glad your optometrist knew exactly what to do.

@kobesbuddy Thank you Kharla. I was so relieved to find out the problem. I always see an Opthalmologist (medical doctor).

@CarolDM It's not developing an infection, is it?

@1creekgirl No infection, just redness and blurred vision. It is slowly improving.

I'm sure anything with the eye would be irritating. I had a tiny tumor removed from my eyelid once and having a patch over my lashes and eye drove me so crazy I couldn't get to sleep Hope it wasn't too painful.

@CarolDM Yes, staring at a screen without an occasional break can cause eye irritation something I've had at times.

@CarolDM always good! I had a friend who poked her eye with an eye liner pencil. She had to wear a patch for a week. I was really good and only called her a dread pirate three times.

Those can be fun to deal with. Fans cicurlate air and don't typically cool anything down (most of the time. But they can blow things around.

I hope your eye gets better soon. I had a corneal abrasion when I wore contacts. It was no fun for sure.
