What's for supper? And went back to the wound center

Supper tonight is easy. I bought polish sausage recently so my husband bought sauerkraut to go with it and made mashed potatoes. I like the potatoes with the juice of the sauerkraut as a sort of gravy. What did you have for your recent meal? ~~~~ I also went back to the wound center this morning. I was released in January but my skin has been dry and it wasn't healing as it should. They put me in a pro form wrap which is a little lighter than an unna boot. I will wear it the whole week. When I take showers I'll have to wrap it somehow. Walking is difficult with the wrap in. I can't imagine how working will be but then I want happy working before going so maybe it will feel wonderful in a few days time. The pro form did wonders before so hopefully it will heal more each week. The only thing is they want me to still work so I need to find shoes that will fit the wrapping. That means a larger size of men's shoes.

It should. It helped a lot in the past. The hard part will be walking and working in it.

I wanted to have fish and chips, but after I got back from my errands I didn't feel like cooking so I had a bolongna sandwich, chips and an apple. Hope your new bandage does the chip.

@much2say Lol. I've not run in years but today when looking for shoes I did walk behind a cart rather than ride in an amigo which has been what I've been doing the last few months.

Potato chips isn't much of a meal. I hope the wrap helps too and that they keep me as a patient this time until it's a lot smaller or completely closed up.

They've used those in my foot before but I was able to be off work. Working might be the difficult part of having it wrapped or if it doesn't hurt much maybe I'll be better than I was before the wrapping.

So do I. It would be nice if it's only a matter of weeks. I'm hoping that each week when I return it's smaller and smaller. It was smaller when they let me go in January but then I had a lot of dry skin and that may not have helped matters any either.

Is there a wound center near your he can try out? They use products and then give you the remainder since they can't use it on anyone else. I went initially to my Dr for it but he gave me a prescription antibiotic cream and once I went to the wound center they said it wasn't infected so the cream did no good really.

@sallypup It was a podiatrist that took care of me today and a podiatrist that I see to get my nails clipped also works there one day a week. At least he's seeing someone that knows about that type of wound. I'll keep him in my prayers.

@MarshaMusselman There is no wound center here. He has been going to a podiatrist. He knows too much about unna boots and figuring how to shower without messing the site and the boot etc.

Women's shoes won't be big enough, but I shouldn't have any problem with men's shoes if there are any skip on in the side I need to clear all the bandaging while putting them on.

@Nevena83 My foot hurts when I'm on it. It's not currently where the wound is that hurts but my heel mainly. But it's been hurting already maybe it'll be less in a few days time.
