Emergency

Good day friends Today is a wonderful, sunny and warm day, but I didn’t make the most of it. Around 1:30 pm I went out on the terrace to do my training, but after 20 minutes, my father called me with the sentences that someone had cut himself, to drive to the emergency room ... Since the music was on, I didn't understand him, but I was beside myself because I thought something had happened to my mother, but when I appeared at the top of the stairs, I saw that my mother was ok, and my mother was scared thinking that something had happened to me or my child. In fact, my father was called by a neighbor because he cut his leg on a lawn mower. I changed my clothes and drove him to the emergency room. I waited for him for three hours, but he's fine. They sewed up his finger and gave him an antibiotic. It's 6 pm now and of course I still have time to do my training, but ... I'll see if I'll be responsible for myself or let go of laziness. Are you brave in situations like this, or are you a coward like me?

Oh my goodness, simply reading what happened made my legs shaking, I am not brave at all when there are those accidents.

@Nevena83 Years ago, I cut one finger washing a bowl, it broke while I was washing it. I got what I needed for medication and while I was medicating my finger... I fainted.

@LadyDuck Oh, that must have been painful. And I would faint for sure.

You're just like me. I shivered until the moment I saw him and realized that he was in a sober state, that it was different, I don't know how I would drive 15 km to the hospital.

I'm glad he's going to be OK. How many stitches?

It would make me nervous if I could not hear exactly what happens.

I will be the same like you did. It gets me nervous when I hear something like that and can`t think good

Oh, I'm very timid and I don't react best in such situations, but I think I was good today, but that's only because I didn't have to be with him in the hospital.

@Nevena83 I think I am worse with myself than others. I can handle illness in others, but for myself I act like a baby.

I'm actually calm cool and collected most of the time. Moreso than most people think I should be. They look at me, or see me in what appeares to be a panic-induced state and think... I'd lose it in a stressful situation. However, when I look the most panicked is when I'm the most calm.

@Nevena83 No. So far it hasn't at least. I hope it never does. In an emergency you have to act in the moment, you can't fall apart when lives could be on the line.

Yes, at first my father scared me with the way he told me, but when I saw the man walking, I found it easier to take him to the hospital.

@Nevena83 You said his leg was bleeding but later you said, "They sewed up his finger and gave him an antibiotic". That's why I was confused. You meant they sewed up his toe not his finger.

I get so queasy if it happens to loved ones. Yet I can either panic or remain cool headed with a stranger. Go figure.

Yes, it is probably harder to bear when someone close to us is in trouble. Then the emotions are much stronger. But I always panic.
