I’m Soooooooooooooooooo Out of There!

Hubs and I have been out most of the day gardening together, but he left to pick up some flowers I’ve been waiting for and a tree at a gardening center. That’s why you haven’t seen me much in this beautiful weather.
Anyway, while he was gone, I decided to weed behind that row of pink azaleas. My bleeding hearts are getting ready to explode.
I heard a rustling sound and saw a huge snake slithering towards me!
Of course I screamed my head off and ran into the house with legs that did not stop shaking.
You won’t find me weeding in there ever again! I’m terrified of snakes, even it they are garden snakes.
Now I’m on the lookout wherever I walk outside.

I don't mind snakes...although if I see them on the porch that is a bit too close for comfort. I saw a baby one today. It was cute as a button!

I'm only afraid and terrified with poisonous snakes, even large constrictors don't bother me.

Not a bad idea. You shouldn't let a snake stop you from gardening, but mindful of your hands and feet.

I know you do. I was hoping I wouldn’t see any like last year. They’ve pure evil and so vile! We were mowed last week, but that section doesn’t get mowed. I’m so afraid to go anywhere near there or anywhere in my yard. I’m thinking of all the babies!!!

Oh my. I`m scared of snakes too. Whatever kind it is. I will surely be the same as you if ever I saw one nearby

i won't say they eat a lot of insects and pests. Being scared of snakes is hard to shake. It was as scared of you as you were of it though!

@DianneN honestly people that do things like that make me very frustrated. First, that is cruel to the snake. Then in addition that is cruel to the person you are tormenting.
That, by the way is one of the FBI's warning signs now.
