It Totaled My Car

Last week we had a major storm run through with golf to tennis ball sized hail. I legitimately thought it was going to break my windows. The next day there wasn't a car in the parking lot of my apartment complex that was undamaged. My windshield was busted, and the dents were major. The insurance declared it totaled, and thank goodness I had full coverage. I talked to my dad, and his wife's car was totaled too. A lot of people in my complex had liability only.

It will be new to me, but not brand new. What I liked best was that it only had 41,000 miles on it.

I will be, or rather, my dad will soon. He takes the money, and like magic he finds me a good used car. The one that got totaled was a 2002 Honda CRV, but looked brand new. And, it only had 41,000 miles on it.

So sorry that your car was so damaged, will the insurance cover the cost to replace the vehicle?

How awful! Thank God you weren't outside. Tennis ball sized hail could kill you!

You're right. There was video footage of two men covering a lady in a wheelchair with their bodies as they tried to get her into the hospital. They didn't even know the lady, but they sacrificed their well being. It's heartening.

That's good that you were having full coverage or otherwise that would have been a painful spent. Hope you are also OKAY and were not affected due to the storm. Bad for people who didn't have insurance. That is gonna be a big spend for them.
