And I am Back!

Busy week of running near and far. Last week we left for our older son’s house. The Ice Princess passed her compulsory tests and is now an Intermediate Skater! I think she has about 3 more levels to go.
Then we flew to Syracuse, New York to watch our grandson win a televised hockey tournament. I bought the video.
Flew back after the game to New Jersey and drove home to Connecticut to spend Mother’s Day with our younger son and his girlfriend. It was wonderful! So blessed with the love and lovely gifts from them, my older son and family, my brother, and my fabulous husband.
Drove to Maine with our younger son on Monday to look at summer cabins on a lake. We decided we don’t like lakes, so he will return to look for something on the ocean.
In between being home and traveling, I managed to plant all my vegetables and most of my flowers. I still have more weeds to kill and a few flowers to plant.
I feel so free being vaccinated now, although I am still very cautious. My grandson may be able to get vaccinated due to a trial. He’s only 11, and my granddaughter already has an appointment for Pfizer. She’s 12!
Oh, the joys of living again!

Ohhh, the IP has moved up! Yep - I think she has novice, jr, and sr level to go! And your grandson (IHP - Ice Hockey Prince?) is doing very well too . Wonderful you have family time again - hope everyone continues to stay safe and well. Wow, you've been going to a lot of places . . . how have the flights been? And you squeezed gardening in too!! Ah, the life . . . sounds more and more normal like again!!

@DianneN So proud of your grandchildren . . . you are wonderful grandparents for being a part of their important events! Nice that you felt safe while traveling - less stress!!
Oh yah, we will be wearing masks for a long time still. All the good things have to stand the test of time in my opinion . . . we are better here, but the rest of the world doesn't seem to be doing well

Exactly! The IP became a Novice in September and look at her go!
We are thrilled over them both. So nerve racking though.
The flights were fine and very controlled and made us feel safe.
Did you hear the news? Those who have been vaccinated aren’t required to wear masks anymore, but I will. lol

Thanks! Hubs bought those flowers for me a couple of weeks ago. Had to order extra tall shepherd hooks so the deer can’t reach them.

@just4him So far, so good. It’s been hanging since last night. I also sprayed the area with a deer repellent.
Even though we can’t be with the kids, it’s still so wonderful talking with them. Enjoy that sweet gift. I hope he’s doing better with the virus.

@DianneN I hope it works and the deer stay away.
Thank you. It was better than I expected. With my daughter in Texas and my son with COVID, I didn't expect much. I talked to all of them, and my son got me an inspirational coloring book. I love it. I've already started coloring in it. He called me to come to pick it up. He had it in his vehicle, so there wasn't any contact.

You are SUCH a busy lady; and you are traveling far and wide! I'm glad you had a fabulous time everywhere. Are you looking for a summer cabin on the ocean? Pretty flowers. I had a busy morning and half the afternoon, so looking forward to date night immensely!
Our younger son is looking for something in Maine for some reason. He has plans already to go camping there this summer with his gf.
I intend to wear a mask. Just received a delivery of more fashionable masks to wear when out and about.
I will be here. My son invited us to Pittsburg for the next hockey tournaments, but we passed.
