Songs I Wish I Could Not Remember (Maybe more than one)

My first thought on this was "Things I wish I could not remember," but that is a long unpleasant list. Then I though of Pat Boone and shuddered recalling that I actually bought more than one of his old single 45 records and still have them in a metal box I bought to keep 45s in.
My mind is full of old song lyrics, even jingles, like "Speedy Alka Seltzer," but I like that one better than when Boone's "Ain't That A Shame," a shameless rip off the great Fats Domino version, starts tripping through my mind.
I could not stand Debbie Boone either!
But, OMG, there's another Pat Boone in there and even a Tab Hunter, an Eddie
Fisher. I'm embarrassed to admit that I bought these awful records, but what can I say. I was a very unhip 15 year old kid in San Antonio, listening to pre-top 40 radio and oh so clueless. Moving to California saved me from being a lifelong square, sort of.
I feel a little better when I see a couple of Nat King Cole and a Julie London in there.

@JamesHxstatic This is so true, we also had bad days, even if we were young.

Oh yes, well, I guess it was all the emotion that he put into it that sort of made me like it.

@JamesHxstatic That's probably why it won a Grammy. The words were corny to me. lol

Quite a few but could not list them all. However, there are also those songs that are really silly or bad but they kind of grow on you. Like when things go wrong I tend to remember the song They're coming to take me away LOL

Oh yes, I had forgotten about that one. I heard "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number," by Steely Dan last night, loved it.

The Ohio Express - Yummy Yummy Yummy (1968), Ohio Express - Chewy Chewy (1969)... Guess these guys really enjoy their food, lol. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini ( 1960 ) - BRIAN HYLAND... another weird tune! And finally most tunes during the disco period.
